Wonderful stay at Hostal de la Rabida! We stayed for one night, made the mistake of booking in another place for the second night. The other place was so awful, we cancelled our reservation, forfeited our payment, and retreated right back to this place. The new owner Daniel is extremely kind and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed to feel very welcome and at home. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and hot hot hot. The place was very clean without being fumigated by crazy amounts of disinfectants that we experienced everywhere else. We found a great Indian restaurant - Chandani Tandoori ~ a short walk away with amazing food and even better prices. We even went there twice! We also found a wonderful vegan/vegetarian cafe with great food and good vibes called El Maple that was also within walking distance. We ate there 3 times in 24 hours! I would highly recommend a stay at Hostal de la Rabida to anyone traveling through Quito!

Charming hostal - Check-in was quick and easy. Host was attentive to our needs and always available for questions. Rooms are cozy and beds were comfortable. Location is central to everything. Would stay here again in the future and happily recommend to other travelers :)

It was easy to find and conveniently located. Everything was outdated, a house converted into a bed and breakfast type of thing. It was quite cold and the heater wasn’t working in our first room, the host attentively switched us to another but it was still very chilly. Heater turned off every 30 mins or so. Hot water was sparse as well. The place was a bit dusty, spider webs and such. Overall ok - host of the hotel was very kind and attentive.
