we enjoyed our stay at Jack Rabbit Island, despite the coldest week in August we could've imagined. it was in the 60's and rainy most of the time, and we had planned for mid 70's and boating/tubing ... we got lots of card games in & did some fishing. We loved it and had a great time despite the weather 💖 the only BIG negative was the swarm of MILLIONS of Mayflies 😵‍💫 they were all the way from the dock to above the house. we tried desperately to keep them out of the house and away, but it was impossible. it made it hard to comfortably fish of the doc & enjoy the porch outside the cabin. especially in the evening.

Jackrabbit Island is a beautiful place! Cabin is comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and all that Lake Vermillion had to offer. Would happily return! James was a great host - very communicative and easy to work with. Thanks James!

We loved our trip to the island, 10/10 would do it again. The only cons were the boat was a little rough, but it rode fine, and the house was a bit creaky. We really enjoyed exploring the island, hanging out by the water was amazing, and once the sun came out everyone had a blast. Thanks James!
