Situated on the green and peaceful side of the river that divides Balian Beach we are nestled between one of Bali's less visited gorgeous beaches and the lush foothills of Bali's 2nd biggest volcano Batukaru.
You will be constantly serenaded by the sounds of waves, birds, frogs, and crickets while actually being only a short walk or scooter ride from Balian village including the main surf break.
We care about every aspect your stay here, so please be informed that the Denpasar-Gilimanuk highway is situated about 500m from your bungalow, therefore on certain nights you will hear some noise from the passing traffic. If you are especially sensitive to sound we recommend that you stay in the bungalow by the kitchen which is far less exposed to sounds travelling on the breeze.
The beauty of Balian Beach area is it's situation in the midst of the beach, green hills and village. This is the ideal place to unwind, become aware of nature, and meditate.
We have a busy local pasar for fresh foods, night market for local eats, and also stores for toiletries, snacks, and other items located up by the highway.
There are also some great restaurants available.
There's Warung Canteen for western and local meals on the beach in front of us just a few minutes walk.
There are delivery menus next to the fridge for restaurants that provide both local and western food and beverages.
There are more places to eat just down the beach across the river including Deki's Warung, Casa Balian, and Tekor. Secret Bay Restaurant at Gajah Minah Resort is also worth seeking out. Feel free to ask us for more information about a few of the cheap and cheerful local restaurants.
Overall the standard of food is very high for a modest surf village.

Just 2 minutes walk through the coconut grove to the beach, and then turn right the nearby warung (restaurant) and river are just 2 more minutes down the beach.
A scooter ($5/day) is by far the most convenient means of transportation for accessing other restaurants etc (5 min) and is almost essential.
Some guests choose to explore Balian Beach village by foot, either by beach route when the creek allows, or walk by road (5 min of this is beside the highway requires caution) and then take the stairs up to the left immediately after the bridge.
We have parking on site to accommodate both car and motorbike.
The hinterland starts only minutes from Balian Beach and it's a beautiful drive amongst the lush tropical hills and local villages.
