I've rarely (if ever!) stayed at a place with a more kind, caring, helpful, considerate, and friendly host. Maryann is an absolute delight, and we enjoyed our stay in her Waipio home tremendously. Such a beautiful space, with breathtaking views of the coastline, and it had everything we needed for an extremely comfy and relaxing stay. I honestly can't say enough good things about Maryann's place. It was—to put it simply—a dream!

If you get the chance to book this location, do not hesitate. Do it now! This is one of the most magical Airbnb experiences on the Big Island of Hawaii. The view of Waipio Valley from the home is absolutely breathtaking. I don't think you can get a better view than this at any other rental on the whole island. We saw whales playing! The ocean view and seeing their blows was just incredible. Maryann is such a generous, beautiful host. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome, and had lots of great recommendations for the local area. She also has the option for sound healing and massage, which made us feel like we were immersed in a personal retreat. The only thing we regret is that we didn't stay longer. There is much to explore on this part of the island and the historic Honokaa town is so quaint and perfect for real local goods and eats. This would also be the perfect spot to get away and write and just relax, immersed in the beauty and sacredness of this land. So grateful!
