☀️NEWLY DECORATED ☀️ Three years running Owner-Award-Winner “ Penny Lane” is comfortable, modern, bright, spacious and open plan. It sits 6 people with ease. Detached, it is only 100 metres from the beach. Free fast WiFi. Lots of surfers have stayed here and love the local waves. Benefiting from sunshine all day, and offers sea views from the upstairs balcony. It is not overlooked, offering great privacy. As soon as guests open the front door with their electronic key, they’re walking into a large open plan villa with lots of amenities, including integrated kitchen, 42” flatscreen tv, and dining room with lounge. This is outdoor seating and sun loungers by the outdoor private pool which has recently been serviced ( December 2021 ). There’s also a downstairs shower room, with toilet and sink. A bedroom with twin beds is on this ground floor level. Upstairs leads to another bathroom, twin bedroom and a double ensuite bedroom with private bathroom containing bath, shower, toilet and twin sinks. The master bedroom has a 42” flatscreen tv, and leads to the balcony which offers sea views....relax out here at the twin bistro set, and sip a cocktail perhaps as you experience one of the glorious Cape Verde sunsets. A two minute stroll takes you to the wonderful beach with its soft golden sands and turquoise sea. Ponta Preta beach offers ideal conditions for surfers 🏄♂️ On site experience all the different restaurants/bars ( seven to choose from ) or go for a swim in the nearby communal swimming pool. Many entertainment facilities offer live music and piano bars. For the more energetic, why not try out the modern gym, tennis courts, yoga or beach volleyball. Perhaps take a surf lesson nearby or hire a quad bike. The sea is easily warm enough to take a dip and go swimming. Guests can if the wish, purchase all-inclusive food and drink packages. There are lots of free to use sun loungers available on the beach where you can sunbathe, read a book, and have a cool beer or two. Chilled out music is played from speakers dotted around the beach and as the local motto goes....” No stress “ , and the Cape Verdian people are very friendly.

Hemos estado una semana, la villa con piscina es perfecta por si quieres un poco de tranquilidad, pro Lo bueno es que tienes las instalaciones del hotel a un minuto, la verdad es que nos vamos encantados, y Andrew está siempre pendiente de todo, queremos volver!!!!!!

Lovely stay! Andrew was very responsive and really helpful with tips. The complex was great and we were really happy with everything! Would definitely recommend.
The location was top near the beach and near santa maria. The villa was clean and big. If i needed anything andrew would answer after a few minutes.
This is a great villa in a great location. Unfortunately, however, the villa is a little tired. When we arrived the oven was broken and wasn't fixed during our 4 week stay! In fairness, Andrew, the host, was very responsive via WhatsApp and tried to get the oven fixed. We had 2 or 3 visits from maintenance people but in the end nothing happened. I guess it's difficult to manage a villa at distance, although I'm sure it couldn't be that difficult to source a new oven in Espargos (the capital) 10 km away - especially over 4 weeks. In addition, we highlighted that the outside furniture was broken and the bbq very rusty. Mosquito blinds and curtain rails were also damaged. Again, during our stay, none of this was fixed. It's a shame, because otherwise this is a great property and probably one of the best in Sal. I hope Andrew can sort out all the problems for future guests, otherwise be prepared to eat out... a lot :)!

It’s a safe and secure neighbourhood with 24 hour security guards patrolling. All the people both visitors and locals are friendly. Many Cape Verdian people can speak English.
Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. Simply visit hotel reception and ask for one. It will be there usually within seconds. Runs into Santa Maria town cost less than €5, and take less than 10 minutes.
