Peaceful, rural dog friendly cottage renovated from an old outbuilding with enclosed & private garden Tui Cottage is perfect for couples or friends holidaying together. The cottage with woodburner is equipped with everything you need for a weekend break or longer stay. With close proximity to the Suffolk Coast, (Aldeburgh & Thorpeness), birdwatching at Minsmere, music & the arts at Snape Maltings, pubs, walking the heathlands, beaches & forests Tui is perfectly located for all your activities. Renovated several years ago from an old outbuilding and now a contemporary cottage for two located (set in the grounds of a family home) on the outskirts of Snape Village. The private cottage is all on one level and the open plan living area has a light and airy feel and has been equipped with everything you need for your relaxation and comfort. The cottage has open views of the Suffolk countryside from the secluded South facing patio in your own fully enclosed private and dog friendly garden. The large porch area can be enjoyed in the winter & summer months and is perfect for enjoying an early evening glass of wine & soaking up the quiet and the view! The kitchen comes fully equipped with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a utility area to store all your bags. The living area comprises a comfortable double sofa, TV/DVD player and for those chilly evenings a wood burning stove – wood is provided. In the cooler months we light the wood burner to ensure the cottage is lovely and warm on arrival and top up your wood if necessary. For those who may not be familiar with wood burners we can light it for you each day if required or provide assistance as and when should you need it. The bedroom has 1 king size bed, which can be split to create 2 singles (please specify at the time of booking if you would prefer a twin). There are many great walks within a short drive from Tui Cottage - Tunstall Forest is 5 minutes away, RSPB Snape Warren & the marshes behind Snape Maltings (5 minutes away) leads you on a 20 minute to the private beach at Iken, the beaches of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness are 10 minutes away and the coast is peppered with other great walks and beaches, marshes, woodland and forests. We can offer advice to guests on good spots to walk and visit. We are well versed in hosting at Christmas and New Year - guests can enjoy a Christmas tree and other festive decorations, the chance to explore the beautiful Suffolk coast & countryside & returning to a cosy evening in front of a roaring wood burner. Please do make an enquiry for Christmas or New Year. For guests that bring dogs we have access to the field adjacent to Tui Cottage and guests are able to exercise their dogs in the field which is accessed directly from the garden. Please note this does require walking across the garden of the main house to access the field. For some available dates there may be a 'minimum stay' that has been stipulated- this is not strictly set in stone and it is still worth sending an enquiry as I can usually accommodate most guests. We are very dog friendly and can accommodate 1 or 2 (max) well behaved dogs. Our other property KAKAPO LODGE is more suited to larger dogs so please do make an enquiry.
