The views are stunning the house is beautiful and very well equipped. It's the perfect place to relax and explore the area with friends or family. I wish I stayed longer. Joan was nice and helpful. Thank you very much for letting us stay at your place

We were delighted to have discovered Joan's home for our stay in Loch Carron! The living room overlooks the beautiful Loch Carron, offering breathtaking views. Joan's house exudes a comforting and cosy atmosphere, with a well-equipped kitchen adding to the overall convenience. We've just returned home after a fantastic week at Samphire Lodge. The actual lodge is even better than the photos. It is even bigger than what we were expecting and the view from the living room is just spectacular. Joan also gave us some recommendations of the area which we had not heard of and ended up going to the Applecross Inn (about 50 mins drive) and it was honestly a highlight of the trip. We had fresh langoustines and scallops, both caught in Applecross Bay that day and the drive over the mountain pass was also breathtaking. We probably saw around 100 deer, both stags and doe. The road is not recommended in bad weather conditions but luckily it was OK when we went. The lodge was stocked with lots of kitchen supplies, games for the kids and books galore. Most days, the kids wanted to stay in the lodge and play and it was hard work getting them out because they were having so much fun. We were very sad to leave and would love to return here. Thanks Joan for a wonderful stay.
