a perfect cottage with everything we needed enjoyed are stay

We stayed at Moriston Cottage in Lochcarron. This is a great cottage - very spacious, warm, comfortable and very well-equipped. The utility room and the private garden were particularly welcome. Lochcarron is a perfect village to be based as there was lots to do roundabout and the area is particuarly beautiful. The Spar shop in the village is amazing, incredibly well-stocked, open 7am - 7pm and deserves a mention of its own. We visited the nearby Attadale Gardens which were stunning - also spent 2 separate days in Plockton (a great meal at the Plockton Inn), had a day on the Isle of Eigg which was wonderful and visited Eilan Donan Castle. We swam in the sea (!) at Gairloch where there's a beautiful beach and had a great lunch at the Badachro Inn. We also visited Applecross which was lovely and had the best fish and chips from the pub there. All in all a really relaxing week.

Stayed for 3 enjoyable nights. Nice clean functional cottage, well located. Only downside re facilities, no dishwasher. But there’s no room for one in the kitchen. The back garden is steep, too steep for our 14.5 year old dog with back leg weaknesses. But that criticism is unfair, inapplicable for most people. Overall, it’s a great wee cottage near to a cafe and shop and, as we were there primarily to attend a church ceremony, its location directly opposite was perfect. We would recommend Moriston Cottage to anyone.
