Triathletes welcome!Welcome to beautiful Bass Lake, CA. This is the perfect time of year to visit. The air is cool, the crowds gone, & the scent of firewood in the air. We’re an updated, spacious comfortable home. We don’t use tricky photography to showcase our space. So you’ll only be more pleasantly surprised when you get here, not disappointed. Boat Slip & Private launch ramp is available for $40 a day, payable directly to owners, in cash or check at end of your stay. You will feel right at home here, as soon as you arrive so we ask a few things of you. Please treat it like you would your own home. Respect our things. Keep AC at a reasonable temperature and turn it off or up before leaving the house all day or for a large block of time. Please pull any excessive noticeable hair from the drain before it goes down before a clog presents itself. Use whatever you need including our lake toys, just please put them back when not in use, as you found them. Forget something? We probably have you covered, but if not, the Pines Market is a short 8 minute drive from our home or larger chains back in Oakhurst. Please remove shoes before heading upstairs, or on into the master, to keep our new carpet new. Thank you and Enjoy Your Stay!
Our family had a wonderful experience! We felt right at home and comfortable. The view was amazing and tranquil. The home is so well taken care of, warm and welcoming and great in all seasons. Can’t wait to return!
It was more that we expected!! Elizabeth (Liz) was an absolutely great host. Following are the few things which liked during our stay: 1. Easy instructions 2. Liz allowed early checkin (though we checked in late) 3. Well maintained home 4. Ample trashbags /toiletries and supplies 5. Awesome collection of clean cups and glasses 7. New kitchen appliances 8. Cleaned linens (I like the white most) 9. Extra blankets/comfortors in the closet 10. Large Master bedroom 11. Large decks at both the floors 12. Clean and hygenic house ambience 13. Very Close to the lake 14. Finally lot of gears/boats/kayaks and equipment avaialable for your use in the garage. Limitations/Suggestions: 1. Peek-a-boo lake view (still sufficient view for the morning Coffee on the deck) 2. Allow some time for the water to warm up for the shower (especially after two people have taken shower) 3. NONE! Overall my recommendation is 10/10, Go stay there and enjoy, relax and rejuvenate! Aseem Girdhar LA
Our family lives apart now and this house was a perfect setting for us all to hang out together. The kitchen and living room were open so everyone could relax where ever they were comfortable and converse with the others. The downstairs was a nice get away from the activities upstairs, it had it's own patio that I loved with 2 hammocks. The walk to the dock was easy and even though we didn't have a boat the paddle boards and floating items in the garage were perfect for the day at the lake AND it was in the 5 mph zone completely so it was like we had our own lake. I would definitely stay here again. Liz was super friendly and got back to me right away when I had a question.
Our neighbors are all very nice, so please respect them with no late partying on outside decks. 1/3 are part timers, a few full timers and the rest are rentals.
There are several restaurants close to our place by boat or car. Our favorite small Burger BBQ place is in North fork.
Other restaurants we love are Ducey’s On the Lake, Upstairs a more casual menu, down stairs a fuller menu with Steaks and Seafood. Everything at Duceys is delicious!
For wine and music head out to The Pines for live bands on weekend nights, summertime at the Marina View Bar or head into town for the Queens Inn or SnowLine (country western bands).
For burgers or breakfast old fashioned style, we love
The Forks Restaurant and Millers Landing. Great little cabin shop. However, these last 2 are closed in winters after late October? It changes.
On the lake ...they also have live bands on the weekends, during summer, in the bar next to The Pines Market and several back on Rte 41 Oakhurst.
Boat Rentals are available at all 3 Marinas on the lake:
Pines Resort
Millers Landing
The Forks Resort
You need a car to get around.
Taxis are very limited and we now have Ubers available!
Love to bike? It’s about a 10 mile ride around the entire lake. Best during slower seasons for less cars or earlier in the morning.
Love to Fish? Drop a line in at the end of our dock, or head out earlier in morning or after sunset. You’ll hear the boat siren call to get boaters off the lake at sunset, so fisherman can enjoy their quiet time, or head up Beasore Road and find an active stream!
There is a way to grab a bus to Yosemite back in Oakhurst and from The Pines Resort.
Best to inquire at The Pines Resort.
