The Wisteria suite was lovely and perfect for a family. Bedrooms were a good size. The kitchen was well equipped and it was very handy having a few 'starter' items such as oil, sugar, salt pepper, tea etc so that we didn't have to think of everything. The one disappointment was the showers- hard to get the right temperature and shared bath / shower taps aren't the best. However the Pool was decent size and we also had a sauna on a rainy day !

We had a lovely stay at Fingals with Sheila and Richard. They were easy to communicate with and helpful before and during our stay and then welcoming and friendly once we arrived. The apartment was exactly what we expected and was clean with a generous anount of necessities (toilet rolls, washing up liquid etc...) as well wonderful smelling, natural shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We all enjoyed the delicious local produce in the welcome basket too. The pool was larger than we expected and our kids really enjoyed it. The pool room however is becoming a bit tatty. It was easy to book both the pool and the tennis. The booking system worked well as everyone was very considerate and thoughtful when booking. The tennis court was well maintained as indeed were the rest of the beautiful gardens. The snooker table in the games room was great and after giving the table tennis a clean, it was fun to use, although the hanging plants did impede play a little. The football table requires a bit of fixing to make it playable. Dittisham is a lovely, very small village that is a short, slightly scary drive away. There isn't much to do there, but you can go crabbing on the peer, visit Greenway or hire a boat from thr lovely, very helpful Dittisham boats company. Also, Dartmouth is not far away and has lots to do. The beaches were lovely but we would recommend buying beach socks due to the pebbles, and there are some beautiful cliff walks. Word of warning- if visiting in peak season, book any meal out well ahead of your visit as everywhere was completely booked up and we had to keep ringing around to find cancellations. We did manage to have lovely fish and chips at the Floating Bridge Inn, delicious pizza and drinks at the Sail Loft and a wonderful meal at Bayards Cove Inn.
