The Little Green barn was a quiet, quaint desert dream. Perfect for my solo road trip, it had everything I needed and Patty was very kind and helpful. My favorite gem was the hammock on the upstairs deck. I watched the sunrise (and set) from it each morning.
The small house is really great and cosy. It has everything you need. The host reacts very quickly when you have an issue. We stayed 5 nights ans we really enjoyed every moment of it.
Loved my stay on the ranch, what a cool spot, and such a great host!!
Patty was very proactive about checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and regularly made personal recommendations for restaurants, activities and hiking that suited our interests. We also enjoyed meeting the other guests. This place had great personality. It is rural but close to the Saguaro National Park and not far to get to town and we plan to come back.
Beautiful location, cozy interior decoration with beautiful tapestries, paintings and figures. The bed is accessed via ladder so will not work for all mobilities. The host is very kind and accommodating, and the cholla cactuses kindly kept their distance.

I’m a dabbler in life. Curiousity has taken me around the world and back again, through several career changes along the way. I’ve been a chef, costume designer, pattern maker, and professional sailor, (not to mention a candle stick maker). One thing that has remained a constant in my life is my love of nature. For the past 14 years I have been blessed to make my living as a metalsmith and creative designer of jewellery components, selling through trade shows all over the western United States. My home, Running Rabbit Acres, is a mere three miles from some of the best hiking trails that the Tucson Mountains has to offer. Ahhh, for the love of nature!
