Amazing location, right on the Tuscany hills with beautiful views from the pool area. Pool in great in the summer (shared by all 4 apartments at La Salamandra). You can bike, run or simply walk on those hills every day. The only thing is that you have to be aware of there are no toiletries (not even toilet paper) in the bathroom and no cooking basics (salt, pepper, oil, sugar, etc) in the kitchen so you have to stop at a Coop on your way in (coming from north Montaione is the closest) to buy some stuff. One thing we love about this place is that recycling is taken to art level so make sure you collect and throw everything in the correct bin. There is one restaurant in Iano (5min uphill walking) with good food and amazing sunset views open in the evenings and one shop/caffe where you can get coffee & pastry in the morning and shop some basics. The next restaurant is in San Vivaldo (5-10 min by car). Great craft beer at Poggio Rosso over the hills (13km).

Nice and tidy appartement, quiet surrounding area, great view from the pool! Mind that you have to bring many things yourself - from cooking ingredients such as salt and oil to toilet paper. We had a great stay!
Pěkné ubytování se starším vybavením, slabší stránka je malý sprchový kout s napevno upevněnou sprchovou hlavicí, která většinou stříká tam, kam nepotřebujete ;) Velké plus jsou sítě v oknech, jelikož apartmán se nachází uprostřed zeleně, což je krásné! (ale i pro komáry ;) ) Kuchyně vybavená dobře, bazén krásný, s výhledem do toskánské krajiny. Pěkná terasa s posezením a přilehlým dětským hřištěm. Klidné místo, kousek do kopce je i celkem dobře vybavený malý místní obchůdek. Internetové připojení je slabší, asi je sdílené mezi všechny apartmány, tedy moc nefungovalo. Pan správce mluví pouze italsky, ale nebyl problém se domluvit s překladačem a rukama nohama, je velmi milý :)
