A warm welcome awaits you at this gorgeous retreat, with beautiful views over the Cork and Kerry mountains. We have a spacious room on the first floor; when you wake up, you will enjoy the views of the mountains and the valley. Breakfast is in the stylish, warm farmhouse kitchen with the original fireplace and woodstove. Mountain retreat Annagh More makes the ideal combination for those seeking both relaxation and recreation nearby Killarney and Kenmare on the Ring of Kerry. The Earth Room is a twin room with lovely views over the valley and Crohane mountain. It features a natural stone exposed wall with two single beds. You will love the en suite with a spacious shower separated by a sliding barn door. Farmhouse Kitchen The heart of the house is the Farmhouse kitchen with an original fireplace and wood-burning stove. We serve breakfast here with homemade and regional products, fresh eggs from the chickens and honey from our bees. Smallholding farm You are staying on a working smallholding farm. There is always something happening here. Feeding the chickens and donkeys - they love your attention. Enjoy the South facing gardens with stunning views and privacy to sit, read, write, draw or sit and watch the birds and wildlife. We grow organic vegetables, fruits and herbs and help maintain habitats for biodiversity in the surrounding forests and meadows. We have beehives with Irish black honeybees in the back of our gardens. Kerry Biosphere Reserve Mountain Retreat Annagh More is unique because it is located within The Kerry Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy the meadows and forest surrounding the house. Discover the wildflowers and plants and look out for the different birds and animals. You can take beautiful walks in the rugged surroundings and encounter animals such as deer, rabbits, pheasants, badgers and foxes.

Karen & Jan are great hosts and made my stay very warm and comfortable. They are genuinely good people and a pleasure to talk with. The room I stayed in was very nice and comfortable. Karen & Jan make excellent breakfast! The property is very quiet and comfortable and clean and has great views (of the mountains and the night sky). For some, the location may be a bother. You will need to travel about 1 km or so on a small road up a hill and open/close gates. I still recommend staying here. I was gone most of the days I was staying, and thought the gate situation was a minor inconvenience.
Annaghmore B&B is wonderful for the traveler who wants to decide their vacation day by day (not a bad move when the weather on the island can change so quickly)- it's a short drive to many of the popular tourist destinations in southern Ireland and Karen and Jan have several guide books, maps, pamphlets, and generally helpful tips of what is nice to visit. The area around the Bed and Breakfast seems like land forgotten in time and driving up felt like leaving the world behind to go on a true adventure. The breakfast here is also delicious and lovingly prepared.
Me and my friend have spent two nights at Annagh More and we really enjoyed our stay! Karen and Jan are very welcoming and friendly hosts, great communication, good amount of valuable advice. Our room was bright and spottles clean, with awesome views out of the window. The shower was new and had good water pressure. It's very quiet at night, and the nature is almost at doorstep. Breakfast was very tasty and delivered to the room due to covid. I appreciated the thought and effort Karen and Jan have put into making sure the guests are safe. I hope to be back one day!
High up the mountain with the most beautiful views - this is the right place for unwinding and exploring the South Western part of Ireland. Jan & Karen are the most considerate hosts, they spoiled us with amazing breakfasts, shared dinners with us around the table, took us on a walk through the Killarney National Park, arrange an amazing guide to take us up Carrauntoohil - they've created an unforgettable 1st impression of Ireland - home from home!
Super schönes Häuschen mit komfortablem Schlafzimmer. Die Umgebung ist bezaubernd und so schön ruhig, dass man richtig entspannen kann. Der Weg den Berg hinauf ist zwar abenteuerlich, doch es macht sich mit auf jeden Fall bezahlt. Karen und Jan waren unglaublich freundlich und hilfreich mit Tipps für unsere weitere Reise. Das selbstgemachte Frühstück verdient 6 von 5 Sternen. Wenn wir wieder in Irland sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall hierher zurück.

With Killarney and the National Park and Killarney Lakes nearby, we are centrally located to visit all the other treasures of Kerry, such as Dingle, Sleahead Drive, Skellig Michael and Beara Peninsula.
Situated in the Cork & Kerry mountains, you can easily choose for day trips to beautiful Bantry, Kinsale, Clonakilty and Cork City.
Near Annagh More at the N22 is a shopping/petrol station (4 km), where you can buy small groceries and daily freshly baked bread. There are a few restaurants and a pub along the road to Killarney where you can eat well.
A car is to be advised. There is a bus stop 2 miles from the B&B with busses to Cork, Killarney and Tralee.

Jan & Karen live in Annagh More, a townland in Glenflesk-Killarney, Ireland. Originally from The Netherlands, we moved to this lovely farmhouse in the Cork and Kerry mountains in 2017. We are friendly and caring and always stand by to inform you about unique spots in the area, ancient places, and events in the neighbourhood. We love Irish music, culture and local music sessions in the pub. We are both interested in the old Celtic history, myths and legends. When we saw this place for the first time, we knew that we could start living our dream here. We have a smallholding with animals, and we grow organic food in the garden and polytunnel. We create more biodiversity habitats and plant trees, shrubs and wildflowers yearly. Nature on your doorstep Go for a walk early morning or before sunset and enjoy how nature unfolds. Maybe you encounter wildlife like deer, hares, squirrels, pheasants, badgers and foxes.
