It was an experience that reminded me of my childhood. I dipped my feet in the river right in front of me, and rented a bike to ride along the roads surrounded by the beautiful rice fields nearby. It was an unforgettable experience. All the food was excellent. I had a tired stomach so the porridge was the best.
We stayed in this homestay for two weeks. The vibe is so peaceful and calm. Many places to relax and enjoy nature can be found within the property. The family is so so kind, helpful, friendly, welcoming and they always have a beautiful smile on their face. You can feel at home easily. Also the food is amazing!!! There are many vegetarian options. We did a morning mediation with Swami almost everyday, which was a treasure for our souls and it will stay with us forever! Our room was clean, spacious and easily to cool down. There is hot water. We also went for a swim in the river which was quite nice and refreshing. Nearby is a bus option to Munnar and kumarakom ( backwaters). Also the train station is very close and you can catch a train to kochi. We will dearly miss this beautiful family, the peace, and warmth of this wonderful homestay! Thank you so much for everything! We hope to come back one day
Beautiful place! We can highly recommend staying at pranayakulam! We felt at home from the very first moment. We stayed longer then we originally planned to and I would have loved to stay even longer! If your looking for a quiet, peaceful and spiritual break from busy Indien life. This is the place to be!

Pranayakulam signifies a hope and belief in the possibilities of human life. Though everyone strives for happiness, the world has filled itself with innumerable contradictions: between pain and happiness, love and hate, health and disease and wealth and poverty. No one gets to single out any one from these pairs. No religion or no state has achieved liberty from these dichotomies and conflicts. Yet it is possible. Pranayakulam opens itself to that possibility. Swami Shoonyam is a saint, poet, artist, thinker, a social-activist and a family-man all at once. On any given day you may find him at this ashram leading his fellows in the experience of meditation, or sketching with his pen inside the hall, or even cooking at his kitchen with wife or friends. Swami often give guidance and leadership to mediation camps that take place in Pranayakulam and at many other centers. His teachings reflect the breadth and depth of Osho’s meditation techniques and are complemented by several methods that Swami has independently developed, to suit the complexity of modern life for the people from different shores and with different problems.
