Spent Christmas and NewYears at Rugby Lodge, with my wife and 2 children, and we had a terrific time. Very centrally located, a short walk to the Luas Light Rail system which can get you Downtown Dublin in minutes. There are lots of restaurants bars and shopping close to Rugby Lodge lots of selection and choice. The property is top notch all mod cons. Was a great base as we explored Dublin over Christmas.

Location, location, location. Right in the heart of Ranelagh, you can’t beat how close you are to all of Dublin. Easy access to the Luas stop, plenty of restaurants and food shopping, and a great playground for young kids. The owners were very responsive and provided clear instructions on getting into the home, as well as help on multiple questions we had during our stay. The few negatives were that I believe a former guest cooked fish in the oven leaving somewhat of an odor upon arrival. There was also food left in the freezer and some stains on the bedroom curtains. Overall, the location of this place is perfect for a stay in Dublin.
