The location of the house is great (right on the beach). We were disappointed with the kitchen not being equipped to cook meals (no oven dishes, limited utencils etc). Aircon was a life saver as it's super hot.

Jenny was an amazing host, her home is very beautiful, quiet and calm seated tight infront of the ocean, I would come back to this house and would recommend it. Thank you Jenny

Beautiful villa set in a great location: close enough to Dar city centre for easy access via the ferry; Kigamboni is much more laid back and relaxed than the hectic City. The beach is great and safe for kids. The locals are friendly, and you do not get constantly hassled by people selling touristy tat like you do in Zanzibar. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff are fantastic; 2 security guards, a gardener and Jane who keeps the place clean and is more than happy to help you with anything. Most people just head to Zanzibar and miss out on this part of Tanzania: In comparing the two, I would much prefer to stay here in Kigamboni: it is far cheaper, no hassle at all from tourist touts, you will get to meet real Tanzanians, it is more laid back and better in every way.

We had a great stay at Jenny’s lovely beach house. As a group of 4 it was perfect- great location right on a beach with fantastic walks in both directions, perfect garden for our energetic dogs, brilliant service from everyone working there, and a spacious, comfortable house. I would definitely stay again. It’s also great to find a place to stay on South Beach with air con for hotter months! Next time I would bring either pop up mosquito nets or insect repellent for the bedrooms at night- there were a lot of mosquitos. That was the only small downside and easily fixable, everything else was great!
