We loved our stay here! It's a beautiful home, check-in/out went smoothly, and it's in a quiet neighborhood that is close to freeways. The host was very responsive and friendly. They even mailed us something we left behind for free! I would definitely stay here again.

Warning: do NOT stay here! To start, this place is located sketchy neighborhood. I didn’t feel safe walking around at night. And you don’t know the people you are sharing the space with. On top of that, the place wasn’t clean (stains in the sheets + hair on the floor). They ran out of toilet paper every two days, the kitchen is gross to a level I didn’t even want to make coffee in. No space in the fridge to put your stuff. And the keypad doorknob locked me out after my shower, and the host didn’t help me figure out a solution. I had to wait, call a locksmith, and pay for the locksmith to open and fix it. Until today the host is ignoring me and hasn’t paid me back.

Kitchen and bathroom dirty 6 out of 7 days of the week SINCE DAY 1. No room to cook in such a dirty place so I ended up spending more money on buying food out. Bad smell, very inconsiderate roomates opening my sealed milk to drink it without asking also they were very noisy the type that leave their morning alarm ring for almost an hour, cooking at midnight and 3 times a day, leaving their mess behind and stinking up the whole house. That is why I was very uncomfortable during my stay which I wished could have ended sooner I just couldn't afford to leave, supposedly Airbnb refunded me 100 dollars but everything continued the same the landlord did not do anything about it. The bed is not good to be honest and the place is not cheap in total I payed almost 1300 for one month. Bad experience.

The location and communication were both fairly good. There is plenty to do that is walkable as long as you’re willing to walk a mile or so, you will find a lot of great places and fun. It was also very clean. My only issue was the lack of response to the temperature. They list heat as an amenity but don’t expect it. If you know anything about the Bay Are, they have historically had no need for AC but it can get chilly but not a lot depending on your background (if you’re from Chicago it’s not that cold to you). Consequently, many of the houses are built to hold cold not heat. This winter, the days and nights got into the 30s and 40s and stayed there for weeks. The heat was turned on only when I begged, which I did because I was sleeping in layers, including a hat and gloves. It got so cold that I didn’t use the refrigerator for days, I just left my food out in my room. I eventually had to order a space heater, which are very hard to find in the area and I was much happier.
