Second time staying here, so knew the directions and that it was a lovely place , also very convenient for visiting our relative who lives nearby. The barn conversion is spectacular, with some great period details ( the wooden ceiling beams and the horse collar ). It's in very tranquil surroundings but only 10-15 mins drive to Bury St Edmund's and all that's on offer there, such as a thriving food market, historic buildings and many, many coffee houses. Also nearby is Ickworth House.

Beautiful barn and a lovely location by Lackford Lakes. The housekeeper was lovely as were other people we met on site. A lovely place to stay to recharge

We took our daughters to visit the local area we lived in 17 years ago….on our first holiday in 3 years, and our stay was perfect! Emma’s cottage was the ideal launch point for all our local day trips. It was so nice to come back to the peace and quiet of tranquil Lackford Lakes every night. We slept longer than we have in a long time in the comfortable beds, and that said a lot about our lovely time there. Family dinners were as if we were at our own home, and getting to watch Eurovision with our daughters was a bonus! Our time in Suffolk left a very positive impression on our daughters, and we can’t wait to come back again! Thank you Emma!

We had a lovely stay in Curlew Cottage. The cottage felt much more spacious than I had expected from the photos, it was clean and very well equipped. Being next to the nature reserve was wonderful - we spotted lots of waterfowl and muntjac deer. Very close to Bury St Edmunds. I already want to go back!
