Staying at Pennywood Cottage was a truly memorable experience. We were greeted with warmth and hospitality by our hosts, Alan and Linda. Their communication before and during our stay was excellent, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a the cozy and festive atmosphere. Both wood burners were lit, creating a warm and inviting ambiance, and the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The amenities provided were all in great working condition, and we had no issues during our stay. Linda's homemade jams were delicious. We couldn't resist purchasing several jars to take home with us. Dunster village and Minehead were just a short walk away, offering plenty of attractions and activities to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed bringing in the New Year at the Stags Head in Dunster. Alan and Linda's hospitality, the cozy atmosphere, and the convenient location made it a truly unforgettable experience.

Well what can we say…….outstanding! Firstly the cottage was bigger than we expected. It was very clean, tidy and beautifully decorated for the Christmas season with freshly picked holly and a Christmas tree with all the usual decorations. Wonderful large family dining room with a kitchen easy enough to cook for a family of 4. The rooms were all well sized and we didn’t have any WiFi or connectivity issues. Our dog loved the area and Dunsters local pubs were a 10 minute stroll away. Alan welcomed us and was always happy to help with any of our requirements, and Linda always had a welcoming smile. Beautiful hosts with a beautiful cottage and setting. You really cannot ask for more. If you want the high life it is not for you. If you want tranquil and beautiful then this is the place to be. Thank you Alan and Linda. We will be back no doubt 😁 xx. Also to say that logs for the wood burners are available at £2.50 for a large basket, along with the option to buy some local produce.

such a cute cottage. walking distance to dunster. very private. lovely touch was Linda and Alan had lit all the fires before we arrived. we had Christmas decorations. couldn't of asked for more.

Linda and Alan were wonderful hosts, friendly, generous and always cheerful. A pleasure to meet them - and their dog and mog! Not that the animals stepped over the threshold, but could be admired from the garden, as could the multitude of birds out of our window - and the occasional pony. Lovely. As for location, a beautiful, peaceful spot - just what we love - but with shops in striking distance down the lane. Dunster itself was a joy, just gorgeous. So we cannot recommend this cottage enough. Hope to be back in the future!
