We loved our stay at the lake house! We felt instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived and loved being able to sit out on the deck overlooking the water whenever we fancied it. The location is fab! Very peaceful but so many great things to do in the local area and Al is just the nicest host. Thanks again ☺️

We have had a fantastic and peaceful 3 days at The Hunting Lodge. Alan is a really friendly guy. The fridge on arrival was stocked with breakfast goodies and wine! That was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated The lodge and it's surroundings are a tranquil place to be. We loved watching all the birds and their little ones on the pond. The local pub is only about a 10 minute walk away and it's not far to drive down to the coast or other New Forest towns and villages. We visited Keyhaven for a trip over to Hurst Castle on the ferry as well as Lymington. Highly recommended for a relaxing get away.

Alan, the host was lovely and cabin has a rustic charm. However, The cabin is a bit tired and could do with an upgrade, it smelt musty and there is no hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sink. There is a small shower in the bathroom but this squirted water everywhere. The lake could do with skimming as the film on top makes it look dirty.loved the wildlife and full breakfast provided. No Wi-Fi and signal is poor, some cobwebs but overall clean. It’s a lovely cabin in a beautiful area but I don’t feel meets it’s full potential or value for money. On the Saturday there was a local party playing very loud music until 01:30am and it was impossible to sleep through. This is not the hosts fault but kind of ruined the night for us.
