We had a really nice visit. It's a very cute and cozy place, quiet, had everything one would need plus extra unexpected goodies. The setting and view outside was lovely. Carl was quit kind and available if needed. He left an unexpected pleasant surprise as it was a birthday get away weekend for us. If you plan to visit the Portland area and will be spending time on the east side, Carl's Airbnb is a good pick!

A longtime friend was planning to visit me in Oregon and stressed that she wanted to go where nature was abound. Although I live in Salem, I wanted to be able to easily take her to the Columbia River Gorge as an outing. I did some research and was particularly interested in Carl and Jeanne’s property. I wanted to bring my friend to a cozy, craftsman-like cabin with beautiful views of nature. I booked it, and it turned out to be better than I could have imagined. We kept the gas-lit fire going in the fireplace each day, while “home”. We watched the birds going in and out of the bird houses every morning, stood out back, breathing in the fresh air, looking out to absolutely spectacular scenery. We visited the Columbia River Gorge 25 minutes from the cabin, did a little hiking, and looked forward to returning to this beautiful, clean, cozy, rustic cabin each day. We lit the fireplace the moment we returned each day. Our stay was so RELAXING! Carl and Jeanne were excellent hosts.
