The SHEARERS STUDIO is located up a hill, just a short walk and above our MACHINERY SHED. The Shearer's Studio: + Studio bedroom with a king bed, + Wood-fired Fireplace (Autumn/Winter use only), + Wood-fired Finnish Dry Sauna, + Large deck overlooking the paddocks and dam, + Kitchenette with small bar fridge (No freezer), + Air fryer (No major cooking facilities & BBQs are not permitted), + Toaster and Kettle, + Coffee and tea, + kitchenette has crockery and cutlery, + Bathroom with rain shower - warm & cold water. + Waterless-composting toilet, + Two Yoga mats, + Ceiling fan (No AC), + Cards, chess & games box, + Linen and Towels are provided, + Access via fifteen steps up to the 2nd-floor cabin - so travel light, + Off-grid / solar with 240v power. The cabin is approximately 100 meters from our iconic 1950s train carriage, where other guests stay. Our house is 50 meters away and is surrounded by trees, offering some privacy, but it's NOT a completely isolated cabin. Little Valley Farm hosts monthly alpaca workshops, and you are welcome to join us. Please check the dates on our website for when we are running them. ~~ The space that Euan built Our Studio is a spacious room featuring stunning reclaimed Red River Gum timber panelling, a cozy King Bed, a warm fireplace, a private sauna, and a small kitchenette. Enjoy the picturesque view of our working farm's front paddocks from the large deck attached to the Studio. The Studio is located above a large machinery shed and is elevated six meters off the ground, providing stunning views of sunsets over the dam. It's an ideal spot to relax and pass the time. The King Bedroom has six French doors leading to a spacious balcony, which provides ample natural light and distant views. It also features a wood fireplace, perfect for cozy nights during the colder months. The bathroom has a warm and cold rain shower with a glass wall that opens to private bushland. Additionally, you have access to a private wood-fired sauna. You can access this area through a private open-air walkway, where you may spot some local wildlife below. As mentioned above, the kitchenette is equipped with some basics. However, we suggest dining at nearby restaurants or getting takeout from local establishments. ** It is important to note that major cooking facilities are not available, and the use of BBQs and grills is prohibited. Our Livestock Alpaca Feeding 3-4 pm. Donkeys love attention but we don’t hand-feed them. Cuddles and scratches are what they want. Please bring boots as it's muddy on the paddocks and if you want to meet the animals. Other things to note: + Enjoy sunsets on the balcony. + Open the six French doors on cool Summer days and enjoy the open view from the bed. + Look for wombats roaming outside the studio in the late afternoon. + Listen out for the fantastic early morning lyrebird songs. + You are fortunate if you spot a koala from the walkway. + Enjoy sleeping in comfort thanks to our very own Alpaca PURE Duvets that we make. Other stuff to note: + Adults-only. No children/infants/pets. + It is important to be cautious and aware of safety when using the fireplace and sauna. + We are an off-grid/solar-run farm, so please be mindful. + No mobile in the Laguna area, so grab your digital detox while you can! + Please secure all doors with the latches, as it's windy up there. + Check-in before dark as it's easier to find us. + No shoes inside the cabin. + No fireplace use in Spring/Summer. + Check in early so you can make the afternoon alpaca feeding session.
