I have had a fantastic 4 weeks stay at the house. It is a beautiful well maintained Finca in a rural surrounding. I felt home. The host is a humble, very kind and generous person. You will need a car, the location is pretty off but worth every minute you need to go there. A great base to explore the island. Also the internet is super fast and steady, perfect for remote work. There is almost no phone connection, but with Wi-Fi call option via your service provider no issue. I would always come back. An outstanding experience. ¡Muchísimas Gracias por todo!

La Casa rural El Junquillo was very nice. It has two terraces, two bedrooms and a veranda where you can take your meals. Unfortunately for us, we were there in January and we couldn't use the terraces as it was raining and quite cold. But, we are sure that in other months, it must be better. The house has a central heating but take some warm clothes, just in case. Carmelo, the owner, and his wife were incredibly nice persons - they greeted us with a basket full of fruit, a bottle of wine, locally produced marmalades, bread and, in the kitchen, we could find all the stock for cooking: olive oil, vinegar, spices, etc. The house is well situated to make some interesting visits : 30 minutes by car from Las Palmas, Agaete, Puerto de Sardina, Moya, Galdar, etc. You have some small nice beaches nearby and some good scenic hiking too. We recommend this house.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this house for anyone looking for a peaceful / quiet stay in Gran Canaria. The house is very well furnished and has everything needed to accomodate stays of any lengths. The casa is very roomy and has more than enough space for a whole family. Jose and the house owner have been very responsive to enquiries during the stay and I'm very grateful for the local fruits, cheese and breakfast supplies provided on arrival! Things I especially enjoyed: - Very quiet / peaceful area. You definitely need a car to get there and drive around (it is a bit remote and up in the hills). - The area is very beautiful and really authentic (in contrast to the South of the island). - From here you can reach breathtaking hikes from as little as a 15/20 minutes drive, but also surf beaches and so on. In general, the house is ideally located to explore the upper/north part of the island. - The private terasse is perfectly exposed to take the sun or stargaze in the evening. - The internet connection is very good and allowed me to work remotely for a couple of days before being on holidays. I will definitely recommend this place to my family / friends!

Me hospedé con mi familia durante semana santa. La casa muy bonita y acogedora y bien situada para los amantes de la trabquilidad y la montaña. Carmelo muy amable, enviándinos claras indicaciones de como llegar. Aunque es una zona verde y húmeda, la casa está muy bien acondicionada. Muy recomendable.
