wonderful house on a quiet gravel road, with excellent downstairs living space, great outdoor space, including a great pool. this is an old house with plenty of character, but everything that needs to work works well. the kitchen is particularly great. the upstairs bedrooms are a little small, but.... not a negative for us at all. the downstairs master is wonderful. the beds were comfortable, the house immaculately clean, the linens high quality, the hosts left condiments, coffee, cleaning supplies. Anne, the host, was great at communication. the only wrinkle was that the pool filtration was off, and the pool got dirty during our stay - the hosts had a handy person who came by and got the filtration running properly - by the time we left the pool was near perfect.

This house is special. So remote and quiet, with absolutely stunning views from the deck. The house was lovely, with plenty of spaces for reading, lounging, games and puzzles. The highlight was the nightly sunset show from the deck, and the beautiful pool. The bugs could be a little intense on hotter days, but the bites were worth it! Ann was a responsive and kind host, who answered every question immediately. Thank you for such a special vacation.

Our family of 5 (parents & adult children) stayed here for a week mid-August. It was the perfect place for the annual family gathering. Places for all to be together or for one to get away from the others. Socialized poolside and played corn hole toss and other yard games. BBQ'd on the deck, jigsaw in the living room, wonderful dining table for the family meals and late night card games. And the layout of the house is perfect for one to sleep in and not be disturbed by those are are already up. It was a beautiful home and place to stay. BIG thank you to John & Ann for sharing their place with us, as well as for being prompt with their responses to our questions. They have great tips for folks new to the area. As vacationers from Southern Vermont, it was wonderful to enjoy another part of VT, and we would certainly stay here again!
