We hadden een aangenaam verblijf nabij Lucca (10min auto / 40min te voet). De gastheer was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het appartement was kleiner dan we hadden verwacht op basis van de foto’s en er waren ook veel meer buren dan gedacht. Het appartement is niet geschikt voor drie personen; het zetelbed kraakt heel luid en in de keuken is er maar materiaal voor twee personen. Het warm water was snel op en de boiler behoorlijk luidruchtig.

Among all the Airbnbs that we have stayed in the recent past, this is definitely our favorite one! It has all the amenities that a family needs and also its big enough for a toddler to run around. Everything is very well organized and the hosts Giorgio and Gabriella are just amazing human beings. This was our second time and surely not the last one. See you soon! Die Kommunikation mit Gabriella und Georgio war sehr gut. Da wir früher angekommen sind, konnten wir auch früher einchecken. Leider liegt die Wohnung ca. 2km zum Zentrum, aber man läuft ca. 1,2km Landstraße ohne Gehwege. So kommen einem die ganze Zeit Autos entgegen, was gefährlich ist und zum Gassigehen mit dem Hund sehr unangenehm. Wie von uns gewünscht, war auch ein Babybett da. Da es nicht genug Platz für die Mülleimer gab, mussten sie in im Badezimmer verstaut werden, was ziemlich unbequem beim Kochen war. Außerdem roch es dann im Bad schnell und war irgendwie befremdlich. Generell war das Kochen mit der Ausstattung auch schwierig, weil z.B. wenig Messer da waren oder viele der Kochutensilien sehr abgenutzt waren. Zu Hause hätte ich sie schon längst ersetzt.

We had a great five night stay at Villa Gabrielle! Gabrielle and her husband were incredibly friendly and communicative. The pool area is beautiful and peaceful, and was a great spot to relax after a week and a half of exploring the hustle and bustle of some of Italy’s larger cities. Recommend driving or getting a taxi into Lucca- it is walkable, but some of the roads don’t have a footpath- fine during the day, but a little nervous in the dark! Having said that, the apartment had everything you would need to cook a meal there. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon trip! Thanks so much ☺️
