This is my 2nd stay here and it really is a home away from home! It is the perfect location to explore the Historic Saltpond town. The hosts caretakers are very friendly and helpful which makes the stay also very pleasant.

The place is very comfortable although it’s quite far from Cape Coast, about 25km out which can be a bit expensive in terms of transport. The on-site staff is very helpful and very thoughtful as well. The area is very noisy as it is right by the roadside so you never get a moment's peace and quiet although you get used to it. The bed is comfortable and everything works as it should. If you are looking for a sanctuary for a few days that you can use as a base to explore Cape Coast then it’s perfect for you.

I will not stay at this place again. I arrived a few minutes early and that was ok. I stayed here with my wife on our Hollidays to Ghana to visit cape coast castle. We had problems with our navigation system in our car and asked the care taker if he knew how to get to the elmina castle,. He said yes and drove with us. We soon found out that he didn't know the castle and had never been there before. We ended up asking people for directions and eventually found the place, we paid the gate fee for the caretaker to enter and everything was fine. I also gave the caretaker money for food since he was kind enough to buy us water which I refunded him the money back. The care taker told us he would get wifi for us but we finally got it at around 9pm that day and it lasted for 15 minutes with normal internet usage, when we complained about it the care taker told us that he thinks the wifi modem has a problem and that other guests have complained about it, he wouldn't buy anymore internet data for us after speaking with the owners. (Robert) On the day of checkout which is listed to be 11 am on airbnb we were packing at 8am when I received a call from the care taker saying we needed to checkout before 10am and came in the room checking everything making my wife feel very uncomfortable. I showed him the check out time on the app to which he didn't care. He was very rude and unpleasant. We found out later from the app that they had booked out the place before our checkout time. My advice is to invest a little more money and stay somewhere better. We also found out that Robert isn't the owner of the place but his dad, therefore the care taker takes orders from them both making everything stressful on guests

Roberto's place is a nice get a way from city life. However, there is a town nearby if you needed to go shopping etc. There is also a regular taxi service very nearby so you would be able to move freely around. The apartment is very minimal and just what is needed when on holiday. WiFi is available for a small cost and is very efficient when up and running. The kitchen area is easy to use and has all the amenities needed to prepare a nice meal. The shower is good and has good water pressure hot/cold water available. I have already told family and friends who are looking forward to spending some time in Saltpond, where they will have easy access across Ghana.
