This was the only place in 400/night range that we could find on such short notice. So we were very grateful, even though it was quite a bit drive to Yosemite. House was old and you could tell by the smell that it had no fresh air for quite some time. Some lights didn’t work, the kitchen was somewhat clean (ants were roaming around), but we were still ok with it. Stargazing was great on the back deck. Internet worked okayish but not super great. Patricia had not responded to my last four messages about reaching in the dark but we checked in just fine. There is no AC in the basement but they have ceiling fans all around the house and plenty of portable fans to keep the rooms comfortable with open windows. Mind you, another guest also complained about AC not working in their review. As I made the booking for our friends, I was a little embarrassed about my choice but not a big issue. I messaged Patricia one day after checkout, thanking her for the stay and informed her that AC (upstairs only anyway) didn’t work but we were comfortable with fans, so no worries, she said, “what?? Ac is not working?? You should have informed me. It’s not important that it was OK for you. House needs to be maintained and I don’t know if I don’t get told...”. I was taken aback with this rudeness and her cluelessness about how much stuff is broken in that house. It's odd that guests are supposed to send Patricia the list of things that are broken (which is long) right away, otherwise, they will get yelled at. Don't forget that they don't have signals and wifi is spotty at the property. Don't expect welcome, checking on you, or farewell messages from her. If you can put up with her, are not too choosy about cleanliness, and can’t find any other place in your price range then, by all means, stay here. Yosemite visit was still worth it.

Quite location and able to enjoy stargazing without light pollution. The house is quite old but only about one hour away to Yosemite Valley. Ample amenities. Huge yard and nice view. The host is very responsive and communicative. The mattresses are very springy and difficult for two adults to sleep together without affecting each other. There is no air conditioner (cold air), only fans and it gets really hot in summer time. WiFi signal is very weak. Bathroom shower head downstairs is broken. Lots of foods occupying the refrigerator. Ants and spider webs are everywhere.

Our group had a great time exploring the Yosemite area. The house is older, but charmingly decorated & quiet, with a nice view off the back-porch. Has 3 big bedrooms & 1 smaller one, and everyone slept comfortably. Priced well esp. considering the capacity.

The house is large and very well furnished. There were with lots of interesting items throughout the house. Kitchen is well equipped. Bathrooms had towels and toiletries available for use and all the plumbing worked great. Overall place was pretty clean. It's ~1 hour from Yosemite Valley, ~2 hours to central Yosemite, ~15 min to Mariposa (the nearest town for groceries/gas). Very quiet street and a friendly outdoor tabby cat who likes to welcome you home. Patricia was easy to communicate with and gave good check in procedures.
