Our stay was great but it is pretty far out so be prepared for that.. great view though and quiet. We are not fans of most people so it worked just perfect for us. 😂 House was lovely and clean. Not much but Mexican food nearby but Socorro’s Restaurant was an A+.
Wonderful stay! We enjoyed a lot f the beautiful hikes from this nice central location! Greg’s place was perfect for our family Thanksgiving! Great kitchen and open floor plan. Nice private area for bedrooms. Well appointed! The neighboring houses had some scary dogs but otherwise great location!

I live out of the city limits. I thought where I live it was peaceful and quiet. I was wrong. Greg’s place is very quiet and peaceful. I would sit outside in the morning or evening and I didn’t hear traffic, sirens, neighbors, birds or even crickets (It may be the time of year I went for the crickets) The stars are beautiful and you can actually see them. It’s a good place to stay if you want to get out of the city and want some peace and quiet.
Greg’s house is conveniently located between Santa Fe and Taos. It is comfortable and big for two couples. We enjoyed our 3-night stay in the quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The open concept of the big living room and a well-equipped kitchen is great for a larger group than the four of us. It has a big pantry, a huge fridge and another big freezer would be great for party and family gathering. We enjoyed gazing the stars on a cloudless night. We could even see the Milky Way right above us! The closest town, Española, is a 15-minute drive, where there is Walmart, Food King, Chili and fast food restaurants. We took a short drive to the Abiquiu Reservoir to watch the gorgeous sunset. The Ojo Caliente Spa Resort is another nearby attraction. We hope to be back in Greg’s lovely place soon!

I travelled a fair amount as a college student, during that time I had amazing experiences while staying at the homes others. I believe the time I spent traveling gave me a greater appreciation for New Mexico, its history, its culture, and architecture. I have tried to weave these facets into my life in many ways. For example, through faming of local varieties of New Mexico produce and the other is through my home. By education I am structural/geotechnical engineer but on the side I enjoy reading up on history as much as possible. I try to know as much about the history of area around me as that or the world.
