Thirwall location and unique setting providing stunning views (yes the photos's are real) of some of our Lakeland Fells makes it the perfect choice for anyone wanting to experience the lakes, either form the am chair with a cup of tea or from the top of Blencathra. This beautifully has just had a complete refurbishment March 2024. The modern and immaculately presented two bedroom bungalow which sleeps up to four and one dog is located at the foot of Blencathra mountain in the popular village of Threlkeld near Keswick. Due to the unique location of Sunnyside guests can enjoy the spectacular views of St John's in the Vale and mountain ranges such as Helvellyn and Great Dodd from the comfort of their own living room, terrace or the garden. Thirwall offers the benefits of a modern, well presented single level accommodation for families or couples, either wanting an outdoor based holiday or just pure relaxation.
From the moment we booked, it was so easy to communicate with Rachael. The property was so clean, the views next to unbeatable, the instructions clear and always to hand if we needed anything. Will be returning!!!
Had a fantastic stay over Christmas. The views from the living room were spectacular. The bungalow could do with a bit of TLC but nothing major or that bothered us. The rooms were all clean and warm and the beds were super comfy. Only things were that dogs weren’t allowed on the lawn which we could have done with knowing before (we always book places for our dog knowing we can let her out for a quick wee). Could also have done with a bigger fridge- we stayed over Christmas though so could just be we ordered a stupid amount of food!! Will def be returning.
