Fantastic location, really nice apartment with a modern feel. Would definitely try to stay here again.
Communication skills were excellent. Easy to reach. Very clean. Close to restaurants and downtown. Great place to explore the city.
Great unit. Very clean, cozy beds and well appointed. Easy and accommodating check-in/out process. On a busy street but very quiet and central (easy walk) to all the main attractions.
New Town is quite literally the "new" area of Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh. It is often considered to be a masterpiece of city planning and, together with Old Town, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. The New Town section was built in stages between 1767 and 1850, and retains much of the original neo-classical and Georgian period architecture that make it so striking. Its most famous street is Princes Street, the main thoroughfare of Edinburgh. Home to some of the best shopping and dining in Scotland, Princes Street lies across the geographical depression of the former Nor Loch, and faces both Edinburgh Castle and Old Town. New Town is also home to the National Gallery of Scotland and the Royal Scottish Academy, located on The Mound; The Scottish National Portrait Gallery and The Scottish Malt Whiskey Society, an internationally renowned whiskey club that serves the best whiskeys from around the world, on Queen Street; the Assembly Rooms and many high-end boutiques on George Street; the Balmoral Hotel (formerly called the North British Hotel, after a railway company) with its landmark clock tower above Waverley Station; the Scott Monument; The Dome; and incredible local bars and eateries throughout.
Let us not forget that you will also have access to sports at Murray field; the historic Royal Mile; Edinburgh Castle; eating in Grassmarket; theatre at The Usher Hall; cinema at the Odeon and Edinburgh Filmhouse; hiking up Arthur’s Seat; relaxing at the Edinburgh Zoo, and so much more!
The flat is well located, so many attractions are within walking distance. For anything beyond that, Edinburgh’s fantastic public transport system can get you wherever you need to go. I would recommend downloading the Transport for Edinburgh App. We are right around the corner from several of the city’s many bus stops (Frederick Street & Hanover Street) and a 10-minute walk from the St Andrews Square tram stop. The buses run day and night. However, they don’t give change, so you will need to have exact change available for your ticket(s) or download the m-tickets App. Edinburgh also has many taxi services, including Uber which is in wide use. With all of these services, you will have no problem getting where you need to go, but we have learned that your best opportunity to experience Edinburgh is by foot, so grab a map and EXPLORE!
自我介绍
A bit about me... While working in the financial sector of New York City, I was offered an opportunity to visit Edinburgh and immediately fell in love with everything it had to offer. With that newfound love, and a desire to make a change in my professional life, I found myself becoming a partner in a new venture - the renovation and management of an historic 18th century Georgian townhouse. With 1 - 3 bedroom apartments now available, all with modern amenities and design, I know that you will find 34 Queen Street to be the comfortable, convenient and luxe hub for all of your adventures in Edinburgh. I am truly happy to share my love of this city with each and every one of my guests, and can't wait for you to visit me and explore. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have, and I will answer you promptly.
