On the side of Maungatapere Mountain in the heart of avocado country our lifestyle block of 4 acres is rural yet not a huge hike to town (16.8 km to Whangarei CBD). Central to both East and West Coasts (approx 40 minutes drive either way), it is the perfect place for exploring the upper North Island. A base for business or leisure, simply pull into your private driveway, kick off your shoes and enjoy the peace and quiet! We do not charge additional cleaning fee once you've booked. Situated in a private position away from the main house, our one bedroom self-contained unit has everything you need. It has a full kitchen (no dishwasher), separate bedroom and spacious bathroom, washing machine and dryer and a cast iron bath on your deck for soaking and taking in the bush views. It has a generous sized smart TV with Netflix. You do need to be advised that for the most part our internet connection is stable but there has been the very rare occasion after a bad storm where it has been temporarily non-obliging - we do not have the luxury of fibre yet. You will want for nothing as far as provisions go with all of the essentials included and artisan glass bottled water in the fridge to quench your thirst. Always a bonus, our guest house is free of a cleaning charge :) I now offer safe and secure overnight grazing at an additional charge for guests who are attending equestrian events in the area, subject to the time of year. Two horses/two night maximum. We are situated only 5 minutes' drive from Northgate and Mid Northern Rodeo Grounds, and 13 minutes from Barge Park and RDA. Please message any enquiries.
