I would rather not give this accommodation a 1-star review as generally the accommodation is as described, but we had a major issue with smell of sewage in the downstairs area of the villa. The smell was so obnoxious, it would stick in the back of your throat. This made the downstairs bedroom unusable. Eating outside with the smell unthinkable , and so enjoying the pool and the spectacular view to be avoided. As a result we abandoned the villa for the beach, driven out due to the vile smell. I spoke to the cleaner about the smell, she indicated that it was carried in the air from a newly built hotel. It was not. I have since discovered that there have been some negative reviews on review websites referencing sewage smell as recently as July and September 2023, and the company has done nothing about it yet is still being rented. The sewage smell is isolated to property, and is prevalent when using water. It is such a shame as otherwise this property would have been fabulous

The location is excellent: the house is positioned on a hill, but if you're fit or willing enough to walk it, the beach and several great restaurants/bars are within a 10-minute walk. There are mini markets and a bakery nearby. It feels very private and quiet - the pool area is completely secluded from anyone's view and has all of the amenities you need with loungers, towels, umbrellas, dining table and chairs. The pool is well-maintained and was a nice, cool temperature. The inside space is sufficient for everyone to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable and there are working fans and air-cons in each bedroom. The house could be cleaner. There is some mildew in the sink and shower areas which could be removed. The plumbing was delicate - there was often a smell both inside and outside of the house which caused some frustration. The plumbing in Greece seems delicate overall, but it was frustrating to have to deal with this in a "luxury" accommodation, and I do hope they address it.

We had a wonderful time in this villa. The view from the pool area and balconies is just stunning and the immediate surrounding area was so quiet… all we could hear was the sounds of nature which was really relaxing! We got very lucky and had a gorgeous warm sunny week for mid October so we got lots of use out of the pool. We loved the position of the villa, close to both the local beach, a number of nice places to eat out and a couple of mini markets. We recommend hiring a car so you can go and explore even more of this beautiful island. The welcome hamper was very generous and much appreciated. We highly recommend staying in this lovely villa.
