Originally our family home, Lagar El Buho has been sympathetically reformed using locally sourced materials & now offers a stunning location for peaceful & relaxing holidays . Surrounded by olive & almond groves, close to the village & with private pool. The private driveway is shared by another property . Situated in the hills amongst olive and almond groves, extensive gardens, patios and terraces with sunbeds, bbq area and shaded areas.Private and secure parking. An extremely spacious property with lots of nooks and crannies, furbished with an eclectic mix of antiques, rustic and Andalucian artefacts and attractive furniture. A tv lounge with basic uk tv programmes and dvd. Also a seperate reading lounge with a selection of books, games .4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms

Angela's place is beautiful and we had the most relaxing time. Angela was incredibly responsive, friendly and always on hand to help. She had some great recommendations for places to go as well as all the essentials such as supermarkets, petrol stations etc. The house is beautiful throughout and the outside space was a joy to spend time in. Lots of areas to sit and relax. The pool was also great and the views were stunning. The drive down to the house from the main road isn't really that challenging if you're an experienced driver. Just take it slow and in first gear and it's fine. Some people mentioned seeing mice but we never saw one. This was probably thanks to the (very cute) local cat that wondered around the area. Easy to get to Malaga, and the beaches of Nerja are wonderful. But we could easily have stayed another week and just sat looking at those views. I'd love to stay here again.
we had a really great week at Angela's house with 3 children and a baby. Unfortunately we did arrive in a drought and there were some issues with water but Angela was great at sorting things efficiently and communicated with us so well. she's a great host and we enjoyed meeting her! would definitely stay again the house is gorgeous with incredible views :)

Très belle et grande ferme andalouse. Située au calme, loin de toute agitation. Idéal pour se ressourcer. La maison comporte des énormes marches d'escalier et des petites marches un peu partout. Pas adapté aux personnes qui ont des problèmes de mobilité. Celui qui cherche la ville, les supermarchés proche, passer votre chemin, vous ne trouverez pas tout ça ici. Malgré tout la maison est idéalement située pour visiter Malaga, Grenade, Ronda et éventuellement Séville. Mais sachez que vous devrez faire quelques minutes/heure en voiture, même pour aller au supermarché.
Angela es una persona encantadora y agradable, aunque no respondió al mensaje del día anterior sobre la llegada y tuve que llamarla, llegamos antes que ella, aunque nos dejó los medios para poder instalarnos mientras llegaba. Durante la estancia, tuvimos que salir de la piscina porque llegó un hombre a limpiarla. Los exteriores estaban algo descuidados, debía haber algún avispero pues había muchas avispas, y muchas plantas invadían zonas de paso. Además, uno de los congeladores no funcionaba bien. También tengo que añadir que nos permitió salir una hora más tarde de lo previsto.

Views, peace, tranquility, space, fresh air. Colmenar is a great little village close by with a good community spirit and plenty of local shops. Not touristy ! Still very close to Malaga , coast and airport. approx 25 to 30 mins.
