We spent a wonderful long weekend in this home/cabin and felt so at peace! The space was great and the property was beautiful. It was the perfect spot for us to relax and enjoy ourselves, and also was very close to a bunch of great hiking options and Brattleboro. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to easily cook. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! Heads up: the mattress in the downstairs bedroom is very soft (which isn’t a bad thing, just saying that in case anyone is specifically looking for a firm mattress).

James has a lovely, peaceful home away from home. As soon as I arrived my stress melted away as I enjoyed views of the mountain from the back deck and sprawling trees in the yard. We lit a fire in the wood burning fire place each night which added to the coziness of the stay. The house has everything you need to feel right at home from a well stocked kitchen to board games and books for the family. I loved our time away from the city and will gladly be a guest here again.

A lovely location to escape for a weekend, with lots of cozy nooks to read by the fire and a gorgeous view from the deck. Well situated a short drive to Brattleboro, Wilmington, and great hiking trails.

we stayed for the weekend and it was amazing. It ended up snowing which was even better. the main road was drive at own risk due to mud. luckily it didn't matter with 4wheel drive and is expected being up north and on a mountain. Definitely recommend staying here. area restaurants where fantastic. Fat crow is a must visit but reservations a must.
