We had a wonderfully restorative stay at the Schoolhouse. The location was perfect- quiet and peaceful, and the house was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was very relaxing to sip coffee and listen to the sound of the brook in the backyard, and we enjoyed walking in the town forest, and visiting Dutton Farmstand. Saskia was responsive immediately when I had a question, and we felt well taken care of!

It's an incredibly beautiful house and location. The owners made great efforts to create a perfect space. You can see it in the details. I arrived in the afternoon and the light coming across the meadow, on to the front door, was very striking. I found it hard to leave, to be honest. If it's available, book it. We loved our snowy stay at the Schoolhouse. The parking and path were clear of snow and the house felt cozy warm when we arrived. Somewhere under all that snow the daffodils were blooming because a vase of them greeted us on the table. We used the kitchen a lot this visit. I really liked the cookware. It's a small space but I still managed to make some great tasting meals. Saskia provided eggs, jelly, butter, muffins, coffee. I don't know if it was the eggs or the cookware but those eggs cooked nicely! The Schoolhouse fit our needs well.

We love staying at the "Schoolhouse!" It makes for the perfect weekend getaway. Saskia is so welcoming, and the little gifts she leaves (FRESH EGGS, full fruit bowl, preserves and english muffins) make us feel right at home. We will be back!

Our host’s communications made us feel welcome even before we arrived. Once there we immediately felt at home. It was just the kind of place we look for: private, quiet, comfortable and laid back.
