We had a wonderful stay, the house is gorgeous, very comfortable and notably the bedrooms are very cosy. Lots of different rooms for different activities for the birthday celebrations we held. we enjoyed walks around the grounds and sat in the sun at the picnic bench. Katrina and family were very friendly and accommodating.

Katrina and John couldn't have been better hosts. House was exactly as pictured online, about a ten minute drive from the main street which contained lots of bars and restaurants. House was clean and warm. Any issues we had and communicated to the hosts were dealt with and resolved instantly. Lots of rooms to lounge around in and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend this home for a large group looking for somewhere to stay.

Our 3 generation (me and my husband, our elementary aged boys, and my husband’s parents) group had such a lovely stay at Captain Lysley’s. The bedrooms are all very large, with plenty of hanging and luggage space and one of the most comfortable mattresses and linens I’ve ever used. The restoration and interior design is truly delightful. Our boys loved playing on the tire swing and exploring and playing outside. Both before and during our stay John was so responsive, friendly, and available for local guidance and questions. We had a wonderful stay and appreciate the hospitality and kindness.
