It was nice to meet with Marian. She did warmly welcome me and expressed great hospitality. If I have sometime in the future to relax, I will go back to their property.
Very friendly and helpful host
Very happy with our stay to visit family locally and for them to come to us. Fully equipped to prepare a meal for 8; everything you need plus added extras like salt, pepper, sugar, tea and coffee. Loved having three bathrooms too. Big airy feel to the place and Marian was delightful. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others
Marian and John are so amazing! Their house was spectacular! It was very spacious and had everything we needed! It was such an amazing central location for what we had planned to do. Waking up to cows across the street was so lovely! We even got a visit from the neighbors dog a few times who was such a little cutie! It was great to have the washer and dryer in the house so we were able to pack light and rewash our clothes to wear again! We bought food at the SuperValu in town and made breakfast almost every morning which was great if you plan on trying to save money! We made fires in the amazing living room a few times as well which heated the house up tremendously! Definitely go to Flynn’s in town if you stay here and get the Penne Chicken dinner and have a Rockshore Lager! It was delicious! There are so many castles that are within about an hour or less circumference for the house! We were able to visit many of them (some of which were closed due to it being off season - we came in December) but they were still stunning sights! Definitely go check out Sean’s Bar in Athlone, the oldest bar in Ireland, which is about a 40 minute drive from the house! Make sure to say hi to Timmy the bartender! We highly recommend this place! John and Marian well known in our small village of Lusmagh. John's family have been farming here for generations. We have mostly cattle on the farm fed on grass in summer and silage in the winter time. Marian loves to keep a nice garden with perennial flowers and roses. We enjoy meeting many nice visitors to our cottages in this way we have made lots of friends from far away places.
