We like the place, especially the city view at night. The house is a some aged and the space is divided into 4 bedrooms like a maze, but it’s good for us because we need 4 individual rooms. The price is a little bit high, but considering we have 4 rooms plus kitchen and dinning space plus 8-seat van, it’s not a bad deal for us. We enjoy the time here. Glen is responsive. Expect to visit Hawaii next time.

Great place for our family visiting our daughter who attends University of Hawaii! The 8 of us were very comfortable here. We had a couple small issues, but Glen was extremely responsive and helpful to get things remedied quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

The house looks really good on line but if I knew it had roach infestation, I wouldn’t have booked it no matter how good it looks. I reached out to the host and he said that he would send a pest control company to treat it but that didn’t happen. I was traveling with my children and one of them is very fearful of roaches so I had to stay up with her every night till she fell asleep. It really put a damper on our vacation experience.

We stayed at this amazing property for 10 days and enjoyed it very much! Breathtaking views, hot tub, this cozy feel like home place will stay in our memories forever! Glen is a very responsible host, great communication and detailed instructions made our check in/out process very easy. We also rented Glen’s car which was perfect for 8 guests. Also we enjoyed Glen’s ukulele so much, that we were inspired to go shopping and bring a piece of incredible Hawaiian vibe back home. Definitely recommend Glen’s place and hope to come back some day. Thank you!

We were happy that the Airbnb came with a minivan and that the host had it waiting for us at the airport (at an extra cost). We weren't so happy to find that it looked as if it was a car accident. The vehicle was severely damaged. We took pictures and informed the Host before taking possession of the minivan. Upon arrival to the Airbnb on Alancastre St. and entering the home, the home first appeared warm and welcoming, only to be greeted by stale and musty air, like it hadn't been occupied in months. There were dead roaches in the kitchen, another dining space, and deck. We immediately opened windows, made it cooler with the AC, and sprayed air freshener throughout. We cleaned the 3 bathrooms we women had to share. Our others concerns were the steep driveway to maneuver the minivan and the ball tires on the wet pavement when it rained. Also, that there were no instructions on how to operate the shower in the front bath room, no instructions to operate the TVs, no information sent to ensure we knew how to make sure the front door was locked (we placed a table under the door handle each night), and no full size or normal size iron board and iron (that spilled out rust upon initial use). In addition to, the furniture was outdated, scratched up, worn, and ripped, toiletries from previous guests were left in the hall bathroom, and the garbage cans outside were already filled with trash. No one used the Hot tub because it was dirty. Didn't feel safe in the bathroom on the outside of the kitchen. I could actually see outside from the cracks next to the washer and dryer. We locked ourselves out several times in that bathroom area because the door leading to the kitchen was locked. Owner should also inform guests that they have to climb up steep steps to get into the house. House looks nothing like the photos. With the money the Host charged our group, we should have an new furniture, housekeeping services prior to our arrival, and 2 full size ironing boards and an iron, and neatly posted instructions regarding general operations of the home that is not commonly found on the mainland. The cons: rooms are small and tight with little furniture to hold your belongings; the sliding door in hallway is shared between the kitchen and another bedroom; white bath washcloths, hand towels and towels are discolored (time to be replaced). The positives: the beds were fairly comfortable, beach towels were provided, location is on point and the view was spectacular.
