Lovely cottage, great rural location. Quiet, peaceful and centrally located to small towns, villages and points of interest along the Wild Atlantic Way. Loved the paddock area and our 2 friendly neighbours (the 2 sheep) The only downside was, the cottage could of done with being aired before our arrival due to fusty smell and it was very cold the 1st night of arrival. Cottage would benefit off upgraded central heating system.
Sue was a fantastic host and was great at reaching out to me for important details. I appreciated her personal touch and her genuinely being invested in myself and my partner having a good time. The cottage was beautiful and we loved the sheep 🐑 friendliest sheep I’ve ever met! Lovely location within 15 minutes drive of the two nearest towns. The guest book was full of some great recommendations too - well worth checking out. Cottage was spotless. My sole complaint would be that it was rather cold. I completely understand that Sue has got a fair price on the property and part of this price is limiting the amount of heading used but it did take quite some time to get warm. This was intensified by there not being enough wood for the fire - something Sue does ask guests to remedy for the next guests but I suppose circumstances don’t always allow or people can forget. Just to ensure I finish on a deserved high: great host, great location and IMO, great value. Thanks so much.
Bridge cottage was a peace of Heaven on Earth, on the beautiful hills of Co Donegal. Our check in went smoothly, we met Anne The key holder on the road near her house to collect the key as instructed by Sue, The host. Anne was tending to her sheep when we met her. The thatch cottage had everything we needed. Even though Sue lives in England she felt very near, she was so helpful and kind. The Cottage was warm on arrival, and even though it was February, the cottage was very cosy and warm. A really special place. I will definitely return one day. A Thousand Thankyou’s .☘️
Great for a weekend getaway, private and comfortable. In a great location for exploring the area.
Sue's cottage was beautiful. I stayed here with my partner and two dogs. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for a.cosy winter getaway. A gorgeous setting close to lots of hikes and beautiful scenery. peaceful but with restaurants and shops within a short drive Sue left lots of great recommendations for things to do. She was very responsive. The cottage was lovely and we had a wonderful time. I will definitely be recommending a stay here! :)
The cottage is near to local towns and attractions but a car is advisable to make the most of your stay.
