My husband and I loved Brackness House; this was our favorite stay during our 3 week Europe trip! Robert and his wife are incredibly sweet and great hosts. They accommodated our late check in time (we had an afternoon tee time nearby-the B&B is very close to lots of golf!), gave excellent dinner recommendations, and Robert made us a delicious breakfast before giving us some suggestions on exploring the cute seaside town. We had plenty of space in a modern room which was beautifully decorated and very clean (and I'm very particular about that!). The property is gorgeous and even has a building in the back yard for relaxing. I would absolutely recommend you stay here!

Robert and family proved to be excellent hosts, friendly, helpful and caring about attention to detail throughout our 2 night stay. The house is in a perfect position to enjoy beautiful Anstruther only a few minutes short walk to the old Harbour where you can enjoy the best Fish and Chips or take a trip to the amazing Isle of May. Highly recommended.

The whole experience at Brackness was divine from start to finish. The hosts could not have been more helpful and kind, the room I had was a perfect home from home. You really do feel like you have a home to yourself, with the summer house and pool table as well as a dining and living room there are plenty of home comforts to be had. The place is also completely spotless, not a speck of dust to be seen, and every small detail is thought of, from snacks in your room to a leisurely approach to breakfast that fits around you. There is parking and everything is within walking distance. I should not forget to mention the hosts themselves who are a key selling point of this B&B, nothing is too much trouble and you won't find a nicer scottish couple to welcome you- they are the luxury element of this accommodation. If I was to return to St Andrews or anywhere north of the border I would certainly be sure to try to get a room here again. If there is available space I would grab it with both hands.
