This is by far the most unique place I’ve ever stayed in, I stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed wandering around the property and herping. Eric was very helpful and proactive with anything I needed as well as gave me plenty of good information about the area and its reptiles and amphibians. Highly Recommended!!

A great place to escape into nature and enjoy some peace and quiet. Joining the night walk was an extra bonus.

Our time at Eric's bird tower was wonderful. We wanted to have as many experiences with the creatures of Mindo as we could during our stay and staying on property to bird watch in the mornings and attend Eric's night walks made that effortless. All you have to do is wake up and look outside to see beautiful birds, especially the hummingbirds. I already miss cooking and washing dishes in the outdoor kitchen among all the activity near the hummingbird feeders.

Eric’s treehouse was really great - it manages to squeeze in all the basic amenities and also have beds for 4 and an amazing rooftop. The location is as advertised - out in the woods with lots of trails and near zip lining and such. Night hikes were a really fun addition - highly recommend. Eric was an amazing host, always responsive and so helpful, whether we needed a recommendation, a ride (locally or long-haul), something for the house or literally anything else. WiFi was generally totally functional for remote work/school and it was such a luxury to be able to get up and have coffee (and homemade breakfast!) amongst the birds and then work on the upper deck. Highly recommend!

Si eres amante a la naturaleza, las aves y la construcción sostenible, este lugar es para ti! La torre de aves tiene una vibra safari y rústica. Consiste en 4 pisos, los cuales cada uno están equipados con lo necesario para que disfrutes del tiempo en el bosque de Mindo. La temperatura durante la estadía fue perfecta, cálida de día y fresca de noche. Inicialmente elegí este airbnb para hacer observación de aves y pudimos apreciar diversos colibríes, tangaras y tucanes. Recomiendo que lleves tu cámara y la tengas lista porque en cualquier momento; la naturaleza puede sorprenderte! A futuros huéspedes, sugiero que como se debe caminar solo un par de minutos a la torre desde el estacionamiento, vayas con una mochila liviana y ubiques tus pertenencias en el primer piso (baño). Así será más cómodo para ti y no tendrás que subir con ella por los escalones. Para nosotros esto no fue un problema, a lo contrario, fue toda una aventura especial e inolvidable.
