We have mixed feelings about our stay. We stayed there with four colleagues, the pictures showed bunkbeds which would be ideal so each can have there own bed. The cabin itself however was not the one in the pictures, the size looks similar but there were differences. It is similar though so we were not bothered that much. The big problem was that there was no warm water in the cabin, the shower was ice cold, for a four-day stay that is not acceptable. When I texted the owner, he did not respond.

A wonderful little cottage with everything we needed for a family of 4. Out in the countryside, but within easy driving distance to Strokkur and even back to Reykjavik. Nice and warm during this February cold spell as well!

Logement très bien placé et agréable. La maison a tous les équipements nécessaires pour s'y sentir bien, les informations pour l'arrivée étaient très claires, l'environnement est calme et paisible. De nombreux points d'intérêt à proximité ou accessibles dans la journée. Nous recommandons ce logement !

Great little cabin with just what we needed. Suited us and our 8 & 5 yr olds. Good WiFi and smart TV (even though lksted as having no wifi) and there is a hairdryer too. Bathrobes for the hot tub provided as well as lots of towels. Really close to Strokkur.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage, the place and landscape ist beautiful. The cottage is quiet and private. We arrived when it was dark, so we had a bit of trouble finding the cottage right away, but if you search for Eyjasol Cottages in Maps, you should find it, there are signs too. The cottage has wifi and smart tv, a clean kitchen with an oven, fridge and most importantly, a coffee machine. There already were filters and coffee for us. Unfortunately, Iceland was hit by an extremely cold winter when we arrived. The temperatures sank down to -20 degrees, so unfortunately at our cottage the pipes were frozen one night, so we had no water. Also, our hot tub stopped working. But Jon Karl was very helpful in this Situation. Jon Karl fixed the hot tub, but unfortunately due to the extreme cold, the frozen pipes couldn’t be fixed. So Jon Karl got us another cottage a little bit down the road. All in all, our stay in the cottage was very nice and we probably will visit again.
