We had an amazing stay at Sarah's barn. Everything was to a high standard and at night it was warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful and the kitchen was well equipped. Sarah was kind to supply us with yummy jams, bread and coffee. From the train station it was a 10 minute walk with a challenging hill to the barn, however we found an easier route from then on. The area was so peaceful and quiet with many woodland walks, especially the one to the Alford Arms pub. Also the canal was the main attraction in the town centre. We couldn't fault our stay and would highly recommend Sarah's barn.

We booked The stables for a present for some good friends and they were absolutely delighted thank you for hosting them Sarah . They loved Berkhamsted too .

Absolutely lovely welcome, the barn isnt really a barn but a French gite transported to Berkhamsted! Toasty warm, beautifully decorated, picturesque spot. Everything you’d need.

Thoroughly recommend The Stables for location - a short walk into the countryside or town . Very peaceful , spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. A good selection of provisions left for breakfast etc. excellent communication from Sarah - cannot fault!
