After a beautiful drive through the mountains, Sandra was very welcoming to us both as soon as we arrived. The rooms were even nicer than described and the common area was a perfect place to make a cup of tea, sit, and read during the rain - particularly the beautiful, windowed solarium. The entire Hummingbird Inn is exquisitely maintained and tastefully furnished. Our room had a very comfortable bed and plenty of space for us to relax. The bathrooms were clean and modern and bathrobes were provided, and the option to purchase Virginia wine right in the Inn was available. Sandra provided some great suggestions for places to see and restaurants to check out. There is not a strict lock up time at this BnB, so we felt free to go explore the nearby area at our own pace. That being said, we still got back relatively early so we could be sure to enjoy the property. Sandra and Jeff put out firewood for the fire pit by the creek, though it was raining so we couldn't enjoy it. However, we both appreciated the effort they put in to setting it up for us and hope the guests that followed got to enjoy it. Breakfast was wonderful the next morning and served at a reasonable time - no super early wakeups or pressure to be seated unnecessarily early. A great experience overall and a highly recommended place to stay. We'll be doing our best to go back again soon, hopefully for longer than just a one night stay. The Hummingbird Inn is a charming and comfortable place to stay and I highly recommend making time to enjoy the Inn itself if you plan on staying.

Had a wonderful experience at The Hummingbird Inn with great company during our scheduled stay. The house and grounds were gorgeous and the drive through Goshen just as pretty. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the wraparound deck with coffee, wine, chatting with family while watching the hummingbirds fly in and out. The rooms were cute and comfortable, with some of the softest sheets we've ever felt! Breakfast was delicious and you could really tell Daniel and Patty took care of all of the little details to make your stay over the top. We raved about the weekend to our friends and hope to come back again some day!
