The most wonderful stay for our family of 6 with everything you could want: fresh baked bread, fresh eggs, fun and interesting foodie treats, jams, cheese, fresh fruit, spices, baking dishes and ingredients - every possible kitchen utensil and gadget. Cozy patio with day beds, cushions galore, new and clean grill, lots of throw rugs, hand towels, bath towels. Fantastic washing machine and dryer. Heater and AC worked so well. Plus our host was ready to answer our every request and need in seconds. Highly recommend this serene and well appointed property - we never left the house once during our stay!

Unfortunately my experience with this host & property was not good. I canceled my stay soon after arriving & was issued a full refund. My primary concern was privacy. The host lives next to the house & can see into the common areas. There are no window coverings. A few minutes after we arrived, the host walked in unannounced through an unlocked back door, said that she had seen us & wanted to come say hello. While I was on the phone with Airbnb, a mouse ran across the room. This is not unexpected in Topanga but obviously not ideal. While waiting to hear back from AirBnB, the other host called & said it would be better to work it out directly bc AirBnB isn’t helpful in situations like this, but I had already been told I was going to get a full refund. He hung up on me when I said I wanted to go through AirBnB. Due to the privacy concerns & the hosts’ unprofessional conduct overall, I would not recommend this property.

We stayed at the Buddha House for a special weekend, and our experience surpassed all expectations. Our stay was perfect in every respect. The property is absolutely breathtaking - the views of the mountains and the ocean are spectacular. The home is beautiful and comfortable, furnished with everything we could possibly need, and decorated with creativity and artistry. The expansive deck and its amenities allowed us to relax and enjoy the scenery. All of this was made even more memorable by the genuine kindness and hospitality of Azmina. Prior to our arrival, she was available and promptly answered any questions we had. When we arrived, Azmina welcomed us personally and showed us around, explaining the unique and fascinating history of the home. She anticipated every detail, including stocking the kitchen with delicious food and snacks. Throughout our stay, she was gracious and accommodating. We left with gratitude that we were able to spend time in such a special space.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay . The location is magical looking out over the hills down to the coast ,clouds drifting below while the sun shone brightly on the house. The outdoor areas were comfortable with separate seating areas for privacy if required. We often sat by the flaming fire pit at night after the sun went down looking out onto the mountains and coast with a glass of wine . The interior of the house is comfortable with A large lounge and TV and good sized kitchen which had all the plates/utensils ect that you would require . On arrival Azmina had stocked the fridge and had even bought food for the evening meal . Azmina is a remarkable lady and speaking to her is like peeling an onion , the more you speak to her the more she surprises you with her stories and kindness . There are some nice walks nearby . Topanga town and Malibu are just 15 minutes drive away , but you really need a car as taxis are not easy to get although Azmina can arrange transport if required.
