We had a great time at Malee Highlands. The AirBnB is in a nice complex with 2 pools and a water park. The Studio was clean and well stocked. The mattress was very soft and nice, one of the best in Thailand. The internet was fast. Don't expect to meet many other tourists as most people in the complex are part of an established community. The AirBnB is located on a steep hill. They provide a taxi to the town below but not back which is around 150 baht every time you go up. Tuck tucks can't make it up the steep hill, so it is a bit of a hike every time you come up, renting mopeds/car is advisable. The studio has 2 beds in the loft which get really hot early in the morning. Our kids were up around 7am because of the heat. The fans provided didn't do much. We ran the aircon (AC)the whole day in an attempt to cool it down enough. The electricity, water, towel/sheets laundry, cleaning aren't included; we paid 2100 baht extra per week. Some of the equipment in the games room was broken.

There’s not much to say but Maria’s place is really spectacular. The service you get is top notch. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Lanta. It’s a little bit far from shops etc but they run a FREE shuttle bus service and its very easy and cheap to get a tuk tuk back. Will be back again, thank you. Ps. View from the pool is one I’ll never forget

pro: gym/adult pool/studio all good Great views and sunsets. Jungle in the back, lots of bird sounds, had a monkey coming to drink from the pool. Kind restaurant staff. Food tasty. Comfy pool lounge beds/cushions con: Fridges (also our neighbour's) get very hot on the outside, felt like a heating system. Management said this was normal. We had to use the air-conditioning to cool the room at night. It didn't have a plug that we could unplug, after few days we switched of the whole group at night, which also had the tv, watertap and stove. Matress is good, but small 1,4m. Studio got really warm in the morning as the windows faced the east. In March, so anyway hot month. Mosquitos in the room Pool and pool area could be more frequently cleaned. Expensive scooter rent, same price for 1 day as 19 days (after checking with her manager)!?!?
