This is an apartment of Esplanade Apartments hotel. The story of this hotel begins in 1960. Back then, my father Michael, emigrated to Canada with an aim. When he was going to return, he would build his own family hotel. Having been born and raised abroad I know how important it is for someone to feel comfortable at their place of staying. So, I always try my best for my guests and make them feel like home. We offer cleaning service 6 days per week and a reception with concierge assistance. A spacious, bright and modern styled apartment with 3 comfortable balconies overlooking the sea, the mountain and the pool. Also, late in the afternoon you can enjoy the beautiful sunset of the Kalathas area. The kitchen and sitting / dining room are decorated with natural materials like stone and wood. The decoration style was inspired from the Cretan nature. The apartment has a fully equiped kitchen with an oven, a microwave oven, a coffee machine, an espresso machine (Nespresso), a large fridge and anything else you may need for cooking. At the sitting area there is a 43 inch Lg smart TV connected with ethernet connection and an air conditioning unit. The apartment and the whole hotel has wifi connection. There are 3 modern, spacious bedrooms each with its own bathroom next to it. The beds are very comfortable. In one bedroom are single (2.00m x 0.90 m) and on request they can be a double, sized King. In the other two bedrooms, the beds are double, King size (1.80 x 2.00 m). Also, the apartment features 4 air conditioning units. One in each bedroom and one in the common space. -The apartment has 6 times per week cleaning service with regular change of linen and towels (every 4 and 2 days). -Depending on the availability, the apartment will be located on the first or second floor of the hotel.

Iannis is a great host! The apartment was clean and very comfortable. For the cost of the accommodations you get top notch value. Great pool and beautiful views! The local beach is a 15 minute walk and by far the best beach we visited! If you are looking to explore Chania, just note that it is about a 20 minute drive. Also note the location in relation to the airport. There was a lot of aircraft traffic flying over the unit at low altitude consistently. Overall, great spot and would definitely book again or recommend to anyone!
Had a nice week! Yiannis was very friendly and kind to us. Location was good for us. Supermarkets were 5mins away and the beach was 10min. Cleaning lady was also very kind and cleaned everyday. All in all a good week for us as a group!
We loved our stay here! The apartment is big, beautiful, clean, with a balcony that overlooks the pool and the sea. Iannis is an amazing host, very friendly, helpful and available for any help, questions, and suggestions. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, a few minute drive to a nice beach, close to the airport and the city center. Highly recommend!

The area
The accommodation is located in Kalathas and the Akrotiri peninsula. The area of Akrotiri is especially suitable for couples and families with children who want a quiet, comfortable, seaside stay near the town with easy access to the highway so that they can explore the other beauties of Chania prefecture and Crete.
The beaches
In Akrotiri, within 5 to 10 minutes by car, there are many different beaches depending on the wishes of each guest. Almost all have a blue flag.
Beaches for families and couples are the beaches of Kalathas, Marathi and Loutraki. The latter, though smaller than the rest, is prefered by the locals as it combines a calm family atmosphere and a lifestyle for young people.
Also, there is the beach of Stavros, where the famed scene of "Sirtaki" of the multiple awarded film Zorbas the Greek was filmed. Finally, only 20 minutes away from the property by car is the small, hidden beach with the blue and crystal clear waters, Seitan Limani beach, a point that definitely deserves a visit for anyone coming to Chania.
Dining and Supermarkets
At 300 meters from the hotel there are two small supermarkets and at a 5-minute drive away there are two larger ones. The area has several small restaurants and tavernas near the beaches and at the main city of Akrotiri peninsula, Kounoupidiana.
Moreover, the accommodation is very close to another very interesting spot of the city of Chania, the tombs of Venizelos. This worth visiting area is suitable for photographs but also for breakfast or coffee at the nearby cafeterias where one can admire the breathtaking view of city of Chania from above.
Distances
The accommodation is 900 meters from the beach of Kalathas and only at 10 minutes walking distance. The accommodation is approximately 15 minutes by car from the city of Chania and 10 minutes from the airport.
Τhere is plenty of parking space right outside the property. At 300 meters from the accommodation there is a bus stop where the route Stavros - Chania passes.
