I stayed at Myrta's for a month and had a wonderful time! Myrta is lovely - so friendly and helpful (and generous about sharing her yummy cooking!). The room is bright and airy, and I had a bathroom to myself (with a washer/dryer!). The location is great - a 3-min walk to two subway lines, and close to all kinds of stores and restaurants. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Note that the bedroom is up two steep flights of stairs (plus the stairs to the house itself), which could be hard for some folks. Also, if you're trying to WFH, the house is next to a school, so there's a lot of yelling/shrieking when the kids are at recess. (I worked from the room for two days and found this pretty hilarious.)

I had a great time at Myrta’s. I stayed for a couple months and Myrta was always available and responsive. Both Myrta and her daughter were very friendly and always accommodating, and their cat Carlos is adorable. The place was clean and I had ample privacy as well. Additionally, the neighbourhood, Park Slope is an incredible place with a lot to do and see. Myrta and her daughter were always happy to provide recommendations.

Myrta is extremely friendly and always helping. She invited me to her family's parties, gave me great advise for things to do and she let me practice and teach at home. Her whole family, her friends and also her cute cat were so kind - I felt so much welcome and at home. I loved our conversations in the morning during breakfast or during the evening so much! The bedroom is beautiful, clean, big, comfortable and full of sunlight - with a nice view. It's calm during the night. The shower/bathroom is clean too and I really appreciated that I could use the laundry machines. I recommend this place to everybody who wants to stay in Park Slope. Fantastic restaurants are all over the place, beautiful parks are nearby and the subway is close. I came to New York many times already, and now, when I think about Park Slope, it will always remind me of wonderful Myrta and her family. I miss them so much already. I highly recommend her place to stay for when you are in town!

Everything was just perfect! Myrta is by far the best host I’ve ever had. The room and the house are super clean. Location is amazing, super close to the Prospect Park and to the Subway. Would definitively recommend :)
