I am one of the first hosts of AirBnB of Cuba. It was host years before AirBnB. I have dedicated my life to receiving and attending to my guests, to trying to make happy people who stay in my house, because the happiness of people is a great happiness for me. I always do my best in my work, and I try to be as generous as possible. For me, being superhost is being a super friend of all the people in the world. It is to be the Cuban cousin, or the Cuban brother, to be his Cuban family that is watching for everything 100% of the time.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, I'll tell you that I'm very optimistic, bad weather, good face. Cuba is a very hard country and I have always managed to be happy, because the important thing is not to have all that one wants but to enjoy what one has. I like to treat others as I wish they would treat me. I like sincerity above all and truth. I respect all religions and political ideals and I do not judge anyone either by their belief or by their political inclinations because one is not what one believes but what one does. I am heterosexual and I respect the sexuality of each person. I dedicate myself to computer science in general for 12 years. I like to write poetry and stories, I like to read, to dive, to do sports like the bodybuilding and I run with some frequency. I like to help people, so count on me for any advice and help you need when you are in Cuba. Ya era anfitrión años antes de AirBnB. He dedicado mi vida a recibir y atender a mis huéspedes, a tratar de hacer feliz a las personas que se hospedan en mi casa, pues la felicidad de las personas es para mí una gran felicidad. Siempre doy el máximo en mi trabajo, y trato de ser lo más generoso posible. Para mi, ser superhost es ser un súper amigo de todas las personas del mundo. Es ser el primo cubano, o el hermano cubano, ser su familia de cuba que está pendiente de que todo esté bien el 100% del tiempo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok de mi les diré que soy muy optimista, a mal tiempo buena cara. Cuba es un país muy duro y yo me las he arreglado siempre para ser feliz, pues lo importante no es tener todo lo que uno quiere sino disfrutar lo que uno tiene. Me gusta tratar a los demás como me gustaría que me trataran a mí. Me gusta la sinceridad ante todo y la verdad. Respeto todas las religiones y los ideales políticos y no juzgo a nadie ni por su creencia ni por sus inclinaciones políticas pues uno no es lo que uno cree sino lo que uno hace. Soy heterosexual y respeto la sexualidad de cada persona. Me dedique a la informática en general durante 12 años. Me gusta escribir poesía y cuentos, me gusta leer, bucear, hacer deportes como el fisiculturismo y corro con alguna frecuencia. Me gusta ayudar a las personas, por lo que cuenten conmigo para cualquier consejo y ayuda que necesiten cuando estén en cuba. En fin ya verán más de mí cuando los reciba en mi casa.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Además de que disfruto mucho ayudando a las personas, trabajo para ganar tres cosas de Airbnb, dinero, buenos comentarios, y las 5 estrellas. Me molestan más que nada en el mundo los comentarios maliciosos y las evaluaciones falsas, sobre todo después de tratar a los huéspedes como no los trataran en un hotel nunca en sus vidas. Amo las evaluaciones justas y los comentarios agradecidos. Aquí les dejo algunos de los comentarios que han dejado los huéspedes anteriores los cuales me han gustado mucho y definen mi esfuerzo por hacer de los viajes de todos los que pasan por mi apartamento un momento feliz. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Excelente ubicación para vivir la Habana, quitarse de prejuicios y absorber la cultura. Alexander es un excelente anfitrión, nos ayudo en todo momento, fue por nosotros al aeropuerto aún cuando el vuelo llego retrasado 3 horas, nos espero con gran carisma. Nos recomendó lugares excelentes para comer y es cierto que se puede tener un taxi a 1 cuc!!! Solo queda por darle las gracias, nuestro viaje no hubiera sido igual sin su ayuda, mi recomendación: déjense ayudar y sus vacaciones serán mucho mejor! La casa es agradable y muy bien ubicada, lo que hace que puedas recorrer la Habana vieja sin necesidad de tomar un taxi, además que la casa es de las pocas en la ciudad que cuenta con internet, siendo todavía más accesible y mejora la experiencia. Sin duda regresaremos!!!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ El lugar es ideal por la ubicación, el anfitrión hace aún más de lo posible para que la estancia sea placentera y te ayuda a resolver problemas inesperados, en verdad , es un súper host! Alex te hace un tour maravilloso para conocer los lugares más especiales. Cerca de la francesa un lugar para desayunar. Banco cerca, taxis, internet. Alex muy buen anfitrión, amable y siempre pendiente de sus huépedes. Gracias Alex!!!pasamos unos días increíbles!!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- La casa está situada en la zona más bonita y en pleno centro de la Habana, próxima de todos los servicios y lugares de ocio, la casa es muy acogedora y el anfitrión muy atento y servicial con nosotros. En todo momento me sentí como si estuviera en mi propia casa y con su ayuda pudimos desenvolvernos mucho más rápido y fácil por toda la Habana. En definitiva, ha sido una experiencia muy bonita y volveria a repetir alojamiento en este magnífico apartamento. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was a great experience. The apartment, the communication, the hospitality, the cleanliness, the accurate description, the location, everything was great. Alex doesn't only provide the room, he provides the real Havana experience. He was a great host and very friendly, so you can approach him and ask anything and he will help you.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The best thing about staying here is Alexander. He makes you feel like you have a family member looking after you. He provided us with invaluable tips/suggestions, made us a cocktail upon arrival and provided us w/ a cell phone. When we left, he helped us secure a cab for $10 CUC. I think it cost $25 CUC from the airport. Also, when I tried to tip him, he refused! He only took if after I insisted. What a guy! The flat is very comfortable and it has a perfect location. I'll be back for sure :) PARA POLACOS: Trudno mi wyobrazić sobie lepszy wybór - idealna lokalizacja, mieszkanie duże i samodzielne, no i w niezłej cenie. A Alex to świetny facet, bardzo pomocny, sympatyczny, mówiący po angielsku. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alexander is the best host I ever had through Airbnb. I enjoyed so much meeting him and liked so much his apartment located in the center of the city, in front of the Capitol (which will help you to not get lost!). My friend and I enjoyed the "Alexander experience" offered at our arrival which consist of a welcome cocktail, cigars and even freitas de mais (a fried snack with corn). We also loved all his recommandations for the beach, restaurants, cool jazz club and having a great breakfast for free (you can eat at the Hotel Inglaterra, close to the appartment if you look like a guest, stay cool, eat, and then go to the restroom before leaving the hotel..). Well, if you choose this appartment, you'll definately enjoy your stay at Havana! Thanks man for everything, my friend and I had three amazing days thanks to you! Wish you the best. Very friendly and attentive. His advice was very helpful. He lent me a mobile phone for emergency contact, so I was relieved. I had to leave there early in the morning to catch the flight. He came along at 5:30am, looked for a taxi, and took over the taxi fee negotiation. The location is perfect. The rooms are large and cozy. I could connect my iPhone to the internet three times a day for several hours. It is amazing in Havana! I am very happy to have stayed at Alexander's place.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- verything about Alexander's home is absolutely fabulous - the space, the location directly behind the capitol, the rooftop view and most importantly, the host! He was so welcoming and helpful, providing everything from a self-directed tour in his guidebook, excellent dinner recommendations, amazing help negotiating taxi rates, a cell phone to communicate with him throughout our stay and great conversation! We wish we could have stayed with him longer, as he was such a joy to talk to and his place was fantastic. Everything was clean, spacious, great air conditioning, and the location really can't be beat. I will recommend ALL of my friends stay here, and urge anyone looking to book this place that you absolutely MUST. This was one of the highlights of our trip!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, Cuba is an amazing country!!! The history, sun, old cars and the most important hospitable and friendly people. My boyfriend and I had the best time of our lives there, and I have to admit a lot of it was thanks to Alexander. Everything nice that you have heard about Cubans, that's him; friendly, assertive and always there for his guests. He even gives you a cell phone to call him anytime you need him. Amazing host! The place is clean, very authentic (feels like time travel), has great views from the rooftop (where you're free to sip your rum and smoke a cigar) and what is the most important in the great location. It's in Havana Centro, one block from the Park Central where all the hotels are and buss to the beach. 2 blocks from Old Havana (Havana Viejo) and famous Floridita where Hemingway used to sip his daiquiri. Last, but not least, Alexander's place has wifi. Finding internet access in Havana is challenging, and you will come to learn that most private residences are not connected. Most people have to walk to hotspots at select squares and hotels to get online. Alexander's is one of the few airbnb locations in Havana that provides wifi. Priceless! We're DEFINITELY coming back!
