We wished we didn’t have to leave :-( We were met by both sally and Richard upon arrival. There was a quick run down by Sally of key points and we were left to our own devices. The property is exactly how it looks in the picture. Spotlessly clean with flowers that had been freshly picked from Sallys glorious garden. We took a wander down to The Stag Inn ( which was super yummy, so much so we went back for dinner on Sunday). Then we came back and there is a table and chairs at the end of the garden past the veggie patch. Something that I noticed was how rain water is used to re water, fences are built the old school way ( no nails ) amongst other details, you get a sense of how much they love the environment. We sat out and listened to the birds ( download Merlin app), my partner saw his first Pheasants and a Hare. We then watched the stars, which were stunning on the first night. If we could have stayed forever. Thank you both for letting us stay, we will definitely be back x

Lovely place to stay surrounded by open countryside

Where to start? Very good communication to the extent that when I mentioned where we had booked dinner Friday night Sally not only warned us that the pub may not be open but went and checked just to be sure. This left us plenty of time to find alternative arrangements. Very good directions (recommend What Three Words to all hosts!) and we liked the touch with the cone at the front of the drive just in case. Friendly welcome (in person from Richard and two gorgeous friendly dogs). Whilst Sally and Richard were attentive and friendly they were no way intrusive. The accommodation itself is well laid out and has everything two people need. The surroundings are something else - breathtakingly beautiful and so peaceful. The garden is so pretty, crammed full of plants and as a result, birds. Waking up in the morning to the view of the fields was a great way to start the day and even if the sky was a little cloudy there were still plenty of stars to watch. Thank you!
